And so cold! I love the way they puff up their feathers.
Lovely shot…..as we head into autumn.
Even though I know and understand why the hemispheres are different, it still somewhat amuses me that the seasons are opposite.
I know what you mean, it is always weird seeing the opposite seasons depicted by my blogging friends around the world. Keep smiling Janet 😊
Definitely smiling, Debbie.
Aww. Wonderful shot, Janet.
And a good morning to you as well, Randy. I had a lovely walk in the park this morning, but no bird shots, as I only took my phone. It was about 7 with wind chill, sun shining brightly and just a bit of snow. Lovely! (I mention that to help you feel even warmer) 🙂 Happy over-the-hump day.
Excellent composition and I like the colors.
Sherry, we have a bush where the birds like to gather, so I can often get some good shots from the front window or, if I’m careful, from just outside.
I feel like the bird.
To some extent, I do as well, although this morning’s sunny walk in the quite cold weather and with just a bit of snow was marvelous.
Hope they do not have to wait too long!
I feel the same, Aletta.
This is a wonderful high-key photo, Janet. At a quick glance it looked like the birds are in a Cotton plant, but upon closer examination I see the snow. Brrrrr.
It’s a “brrrrr” day here today, Allan, but this morning when I walked, the sun was shining and there was just enough snow to be beautiful but not enough to be inconvenient. 🙂 I’m enjoying the last bits of winter while looking forward to spring.
Watch out for that Black Ice on your walks, Janet. I miss the reflected light off the snow in Winter and quiet snowfalls on a clear night.
Spring is coming and green will replace white as the dominant color.
Thanks, Indah. Glad you like it.
Wonderful photo –
Awww … they look cold. Pretty little birds. You captured them perfectly.
They seemed remarkably cheerful for being out in the cold and snow and quite cute, even if cold.
Brrr … they’re braver than me. : )
Gorgeous capture – here’s to a lovely day! 😉
Raising my virtual glass here to that! It was a lovely day.
Hi Janet! Lovely post. Just getting back into the swing of things. 😌
Enjoy the rest of the week and don’t despair! Spring is just around the corner…or at least the time change is. 🙂
Incredible capture! That’s the kind of photo I dream about snagging. I’m just not graceful enough to get close shots of wildlife… They always hear me ambling about from a mile away.
These guys perch in the bushes right outside our house and are, on the whole, remarkably relaxed if you don’t come too close.
This is so lovely Janet. I feel sorry for these little guys waiting for their spot under the sun.
They seem to do well in winter, just puffing up their feathers for warmth. They do love to sit in the sun, for which I can’t blame them.
