Friends of our in Cleveland have a cat that loves to look out the door, the door that’s never open quite enough for her to go where she longs to go–outdoors. So whenever it’s warm enough for them to have the inner door open, she sits and looks. Whether it’s longingly or as a queen viewing her kingdom, only she knows.
You can find today’s Thursday Doors by clicking on the link.
A door is what a cat wants to be on the other side of 😉
Lovely image
Very true, Carol, and the same for dogs.

That’s the perfect kind of door for a cat. As long as they can’t figure out the latch.
So true, Dan. That conjures up visions of the cat leaping into the air in an attempt to get the door handle to go down and open. 🙂
janet
We had one cat who could do that. He was long enough to actually reach the latch while standing.
Aw! Here too. Sometimes all the pets lounge there together. 🙂
All waiting for their big break (out). 🙂

Made me think of that Robin Williams joke imitating a cat; “Open the door, or I’ll mess up the screen!”
😀
Hadn’t heard that one, Norm, but I can just hear it.
janet
I had a cat named Hobbes in the same cat color pattern!
Do you have a Calvin, too? 🙂
janet
No. But I wanted to name the other one Calvin. Didn’t work out. He refused to acknowledge the name. We went with Tenzing.
🙂
LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. What a pretty calico kitty! Great shot, Janet. I love the lighting. Look at the tail action. I bet she spotted a bird or a squirrel. Fabulous! ~T.
I’m sure she spotted something, Theadora. She’s certainly looking!
janet
Nice photo, Janet, and I love the color in the border. I feel like I am looking through a door at the cat in the doorway.
Ω
Double doors? 🙂
janet
One door closes, another one opens…
Poor kitty.

🙂
I like that thought, ” A Queen looking over her Kingdom.” 🙂 My Diva Dog lays by the back glass door looking out too.
Some dogs look out casually and some are just like a cat, looking for something exciting.
janet
Great shot! Pretty cat too! 🙂
Thanks, Connie.

Great photo
Glad you like it, Raewyn.

Love the cat 🙂 Love the picture 🙂 I mean
Thanks for loving the entire thing, Geert. 🙂

Our cat loves to sit and watch the squirrels and birds. Sometimes he clacks his tongue as if dreaming to chasing them down.
I would think those are his dreams, Jan. 🙂
janet
I think she’s happy to see sunshine. 🙂
I know I always am and could sit in front of our living room window and look out for a long time.
janet
Cats love to sit and stare out of Windows, anywhere. Think there is a poem there
I think you just wrote on, Sheila. 🙂
janet
What an intent stare, you have caught total concentration and I can see the tail twitching
She was completely caught up in either her dreams or her view…or perhaps a little of both.
janet
Or maybe a bird flying by???
Or even better, walking just outside on the sidewalk. 🙂
🙂
I know that expression well … “those damn pesky birds are back!” … usually followed by a cat’s version of barking 🙂
Ha! I’m finding out who all the cat people are from the responses to this shot. 🙂
janet
hahahaha! Yes, we are hiding all over the place 😀
A curious cat……
Yes and possibly/probably a cat yearning to be free and outdoors, at least for a time. 🙂
Happy Friday, Aletta.
janet
IC can imagine that! Happy weekend to you, Janet!
