Do you have proof of age with you this week?
Recently, we attended The Who concert in Chicago. The Who was great, the crowd…interesting! Prior to and during the concert, there was much alcohol consumed, but there were some good, alcohol-related oddball photo ops in the United Center that night for those of us still focusing clearly. Cheers!
I love good beer, and it is interesting how Anheuser-Busch is picking up craft breweries around the country. We have a nice one here, Red Hook Brewery, that they also own. 🙂
I have mixed feelings about big companies buying small breweries or other businesses. I guess if the product quality continues, that’s OK and I can’t fault anyone for wanting to make the money that selling will bring. There are so many great craft breweries now and I love it, as long as they’re producing some good dark beer. 🙂

These are really cool photos Janet. I really like the olives. 😀 😀
They were tasty, too. 🙂

Great photos. Some of the Goose Island brews are pretty good. They show up at our local pub on tap a couple of times a year.
There are an amazing number of craft breweries making some great beer. We have one just about a mile from us. The tap room is right in the brewery. Solemn Oath is the name.

I also have mixed feelings about big companies buying the small ones. The quality seems to decrease when they go big. I like your photos.
The quality is the thing, that’s for sure. Glad you like the photos, Laura.

Great photos

Cheers! How fun. The Who really cool.
The opening act was horrible, but The Who were excellent.

One of my favorite concerts was the Who. I heard then all the way back in 82′ in Shea stadium, it was wildly fantastic.
I’m not a big concert-goer, but I’ve been to some memorable ones, including Billy Joel three times. 🙂 I enjoyed this as much for the audience as for a blast from my past.

Did you see him play with Elton?
No, just on his own with his amazing group.

Love the olives shot particularly. And I love The Who too. I’ve never seen them in concert, but grew up with a brother who was completely mad about the band, to the extent of modelling himself on Keith Moon (thankfully he grew out of it before he self-destructed).
Wow, I’m glad he survived that phase! Our older daughter got us the tickets for Christmas and although I wouldn’t have gotten them myself, it was a good time.

Cool Christmas present! I’ve started buying theatre tickets as presents (the gift that keeps on giving, since I often get to go as well). The Big T is happy because he loves theatre, but doesn’t tend to be aware of what’s on, and the even the boy-child has enjoyed the productions we’ve gone to. The boys love concerts, but I confess I get a wee bit bored. Music is background for me; I need more visual stimulus. Cheers, Su.
We enjoy the theater, too, Su, and one great thing about that sort of gift, concert or theater, is that it gets used and doesn’t sit around taking up space. 🙂 I bought my husband tickets to the Pink Martini concert this Friday and yes, I’ll get to go as well. Fun!
That’s true Janet. I just looked for Pink Martini on YouTube. Look awesome; have a wonderful time. 🙂
I’m glad you looked them up, Su. They’re truly marvelous and I’m looking forward to the evening.
