One morning leaving Costco, the outside window was covered with beautiful frost patterns. Of course, they weren’t really black and white, but they certainly look dramatic with Picasa 3’s Holga-ish edit. So let’s pay homage to the beauty of winter as we usher in spring and look forward to all the color to come. For my friends in the Southern Hemisphere, you have this beauty to anticipate.

Glorious!
Sue, winter is full of glory, just different, less lush glories that those of spring and, even more, summer. Always glad to highlight some of them and glad you like these.

Such great captures! I did felt a chill in my spine after seeing these
One great thing about a shot like this…the subject doesn’t move. 🙂 Thanks for visiting today, Hammad. I hope your week’s off to a great start.

That’s a big advantage about this then. Thank you for such a nice reply!!
Beautiful patterns!
The entire enormous window was covered with the frost. It was stunning, but no one else was even looking.

Wonderful shots. Snowing like crazy here today. 😦 Spring has been postponed.
Judy, I wondered whether the prediction of lots and lots of snow in New England and parts of Colorado had come true. Sorry that spring has been postponed, but glory in the beauty of winter one last (hopefully) time. 🙂

Lovely, lovely, like a forest of nature’s magic, and the choice of monochrome makes their designs pop. Janet, a nice tribute to winter as it becomes the past, and we welcome spring. Happy Photo Challenge.
Good morning, Sally. It’s a winter morning as far as temperatures go, but I just got back from a wonderful walk in the park. No photos today, as I was walking with a friend who has two dogs and we were on the move, but a great time. Spring is taking its time here, heightening the anticipation. The sun is out and it’s going to be a lovely day.

One must love these beautiful abstract formations. Cool captures!
I’m glad you do, Paula. Have a wonderful week.

I have always wonder what the point of having the Holga-ish filter was!? Thank you for giving me a reason to try that function some time.
I think it makes B&W shots much more dramatic. You’ll have to give it a try.
janet
I love it!! Beautiful photo!
Thanks. It was a beautiful sight.
janet
Love your black and white edit!
Thanks. It was blue and white before, but I thought it worked out well for B&W.

It’s like a magic silver color! Well done, Janet.
Hi, Lucile. So good to hear from you. I hope all’s well with you and yours.
Hi Janet, all well. Thanks. Have just been busy with new projects. Hope you’re well too.
Cheers
Lucile
I’m glad everything’s OK. I hope the new projects are going well.
janet
Yes, all fine. Thank you so much.
Have a lovely week, Janet.

What interesting photos. You really capture the magic of frost here.
Nice shot, but it never gets that cold where I am. 🙂
Wonderful
Good morning, Ruth, and thanks very much.

Costco? Our favorite store! Everything we buy is in such bulk that we never finish it and have to throw a lot away. And still it’s cheaper for us than shopping at a regular supermarket. And those ice crystals seem to be thawing as we speak! 🙂
64 here today, Emilio, but back into the more seasonable 40’s after that. We love Costco, too, and generally use what we buy. Best deals are the rotisserie and their generic brand of allergy medication.
janet
Well, we use neither. But we do buy a lot of veggies and cheese (my downfall) and wine. Lots of wine! 🙂
Costco is the biggest seller of wine in the US, partly down to you. 🙂 They have good quality, good service, and good prices. Tough to beat.
Lynn wants to work there. 🙂
Great prices AND a discount? 🙂 What’s not to like.
Doors, birds, frost, regrowth and renewal…I feel I have stepped into variety central! I love the haiku writing and the mention of 27 of 28 years of marriage, should I keep going…grin. Happy belated Easter friends. xoxo
And to you as well, Belinda. Thanks for taking a bit of vacation through my recent blog posts. 🙂
