“It’s not that easy being green;
Having to spend each day the color of the leaves.
When I think it could be nicer being red, or yellow or gold-
or something much more colorful like that.
It’s not easy being green.
It seems you blend in with so many other ordinary things.
And people tend to pass you over ’cause you’re not standing out like flashy sparkles in the water-
or stars in the sky.
But green’s the color of Spring.
And green can be cool and friendly-like.
And green can be big like the ocean, or important like a mountain, or tall like a tree.
When green is all there is to be
It could make you wonder why, but why wonder? Why Wonder, I am green and it’ll do fine, it’s beautiful!
And I think it’s what I want to be.”
My logic was that he (it) was such a bright green. I assumed a female would be a more subdued colour as nature is inclined to do to provide her with protection.
… but that was a completely uninformed guess on my part 🙂
Nice frog photo, Janet. I suddenly realize that I haven’t seen a frog for many years. 😉 I thought tadpole was fascinating when I was little. Thanks for bringing back all the memories.
Have a great day.
Na… such a sweet frog!
🙂 Very still and quiet, too.

One of those “I just happened to look down and there he was” shots.

Good morning, Judy, and thanks. You should market that. Kermit might like it. 🙂

A great photo of a cute little green fellow 🙂
Thanks very much, Joanne. I always say “him”, too, but how would we know if he were really a she? 🙂

Sounds reasonable, but who knows? (Neither of us, I guess!) I”ll have to look it up sometime.

Helen, so good to hear from you. I’m happy my photo could bring back some good memories. I hope you’re doing well.
Super cute frog. Super cute shot, Janet! I once had a pet frog. Pal Froggie was a sweetie pie!

Then I’m glad to have brought back some good memories, Theadora. 🙂 Hope you’re having a wonderful week.
Oh, you did! It was great fun to hop back in time! 🙂
So great nature photo! 🙂
Thanks. Glad you like it.

Love it. That brought a smile to my face.
Couldn’t coax it to turn around for a full frontal – aye?
Randy
No full frontal on my blog, Randy! 🙂 Glad you liked it nevertheless.

Great capture Janet.Love this
It was a wonderful reward for just glancing in the right direction at the right time…and that the frog didn’t move. :_0
He’s so gorgeous. 🙂 Great shot, Janet.
Great capture!
Thanks, Sue. I’m waiting for to get warm enough now for the frogs to come out again. It might be a while yet!
janet
Love this!
Ta muchly, Su. (Don’t know if you say that down your way, but I’ve always enjoyed the sound of it.) 🙂

🙂 I know a version of it “ta very much” — which I always think needs a Yorkshire accent.
Great photo Janet!
Thanks!
janet
I know I’m weird but I love frogs! Great photo!
I don’t think that’s weird and I’m glad you loved the photo. I can’t wait until it’s warm enough to look for them again.
