Weekly Photo Challenge: Abstract…bubblicious

This week, Ben’s challenge to us is to turn something familiar into something not so familiar, something abstract or different.  If you get close enough to a thing, you see a beauty that’s not the same beauty as the larger or whole.  This is what I enjoyed about this photo, shot while washing dishes and bottles. In honor of Earth Day, I chose a green abstract.  🙂

Happy Friday!

Cool! Looks like some weird nebula.

  5. I love this – reminds me of molecular structures….and the green is perfect!

  6. Such a wonderful green abstract, Janet, Love it. 🙂

  7. Hammad Rais says:

This is indeed an amazing abstract. Very nice

  8. The picture reminds me of those chemistry formulas that they tried to teach me in high school. But there is a difference: those I hated, these I love!

  9. Sue says:

    Oh, I like it!

  10. Lena says:

Very nice thinking to use green for Earth Day aswell. And dish-bubbles are really fun to play with. Great shot Janet!

    • Thanks, Lena. There are so many cool shots when cooking or working in the kitchen. Some, though, aren’t easy to get without ruining dinner. 🙂

      • Lena says:

Ha ha!! I agree and I used to be a lot on twitter for a time and that was kind of the same problem… some days we had “twittdinner” instead if the usual, which meant that it was part ruined. 😉

so clever with the earth day green = and this is just fun (bubbles are just fun)

    • When our girls were younger, playing with them with bubbles was always a joy. Probably would be fun now, too, now that I think about it.

      • Prior-01 says:

yeah – something light and breezy about the fun bubbles – and your photo here also reminds me of some chemistry formula – ha!

      • It does, but I hope that’s not a bad memory. 🙂 Have you seen some of the enormous bubbles people have done? What fun that must be!!

      • Prior-01 says:

oh no not at all! and you actually reminded me of when my father-n-law gave the kids these old school bubble blowers. They were sticks and looped string (they bought at a craft show) and you dipped them in huge pails and they worked so well. Enormous bubbles flew all around, but I am not sure if they are as enormous as the ones you refer to from other folks?
anyhow, with our old school wands, the Dogs played too. And then I remembered some kids with the little plastic wands – oh – such sweet memories. 🙂 ❤

      • The other thing our girls loved was the large chalk that they used to draw on the driveway and sidewalk. Cheap and creative fun.

      • Prior-01 says:

oh yeah – and I remember trying to teach the kids hopscotch – like =”how does the grid go….?”
