Oddball alert!! After you eat all this,
don’t do this.
They look like heart attacks in jars!
He he!! OMG, bacon jam!! That must be very odd.
I haven’t tried this particular brand, but we tried another one once and it was delicious!
I’m pretty sure that the stuff in those jars would kill me even if I did’t go swimming afterward 🙂
You’d be amazed at how good it is, Lisa, although I haven’t tried this one, but another brand. Sweet and salty can be quite a good combination and of course, don’t eat too much.
I do like the mix of sweet and salty tastes…perhaps everything in moderation
That’s the best way. Sometimes, if I’d had something that was too sweet, I crave salt, not too much, but enough to offset the sweet.
Wouldn’t all that grease make you float on water? ☺
Hmmm, never thought of that!
I love to make all kinds of jam, but I never heard of this one. Not one I am going to try, I guess. Nice found though.
It’s actually quite tasty, even though it sounds odd.
ALDI (Trader Joe’s to you) will stop at nothing! They won’t sell a single jar on their home market ( I bet).
I love Aldi and Trader Joe’s! We have both of them here, but I’ve shopped at the Aldi in France and love what they carry. I have not idea whether Aldi will carry this or if it’s just at TJ’s. Another store in Europe that I love is Lidl.
I know that ALDI and Lidl are quite popular abroad. In Germany you can’t have one without the other. Wherever there’s one, the other is just across the street. Not everyone is pleased about that here, to put it mildly.
We don’t have Lidl here, just Aldi and TJ’s, but they aren’t near each other.
And here am I hoping for hoping for the return of old-style little specialized shops like this one: https://anglogermantranslations.wordpress.com/2016/04/22/thursday-doors-tueren-am-donnerstag/thufleiwa/
I’d love that, too.
Trader Joe’s has everything…
This is a new one on me. Good solution to the challenge, Janet.
Bacon jam ??? Can’t image it. Great odd balls. 😀
I’d love to try the Bacon Jam. 🙂 I wouldn’t dream of going swimming here because of the alligators. 😯
Good reason not to swim. But the bacon jam is quite tasty!
Looks like the swimming sign should say “no drowning”
I know, Dan, that’s what I thought, too.
Oddest pictures I’ve seen all week. Love the way you’ve linked them. Regards, Helen
Glad you enjoyed them, Helen.
I had some cheese bacon a few months ago – but bacon jam? Oh my!
It may sound crazy, but I’m tempted to try making a vegan version of bacon jam… I just know it’s possible, and quite possibly just as delicious!
To that I say, “You go, girl.” If you succeed, it will be delicious and all vegans will love you (even more.) 🙂
Everything with bacon is yummy but jam ???? Mmmmmm … Is it good? Have you wasted it?
Great entries for Cee’s challenge , as always, Janet. 😍
I haven’t opened this one yet, but we had one made by a small, independent company in Philadelphia and it was delicious!!
I’m assuming it can be found in a specialty food market. I’ll be on the lookout. I like trying new things. Thanks … : )
This one is from Trader Joe’s. Is there one near you?
Oh yes, there is one very close. Thank you for the suggestion. : )
