All 3 in that order 😊
I understand. 🙂
I’m with you on this, Gordon. 🙂
I’m not too sure but I’d like to think I was the optimist hoping for a change. But probably I’m a mix of all three if I’m being realistic. Great quote!
This man said a lot of really good thing, Debbie. I’m probably all three as well, although I tend toward the last two.
I guess I am a pessumistic realist 😉
I get it, Lena. I tend to be an optimist-realist, although every so often the pessimism gets to me.
I blame it on the Swedish darkness at wintertime 😉
I can understand that, Lena. I’d have a difficult time with that, but I’d enjoy the summer light!
I like the darkness in a way, but I think it made our minds a bit more dark aswell… or maybe I drink to little beer 😉
optimist all the way )
I’m definitely optimistic most of the time, but I also have a healthy does of realism.
think today I am the first one… the wind we currently have would shred any sail and it blows directly under our warm clothes… what a spring-vember :o)
😦 It’s going to be unseasonably warm today, then in the late afternoon, temperatures will plummet, rain arrives, and it will be quite chilly tomorrow. Such is the ongoing fight between winter and spring!
Have been all 3, I’m afraid.
I as well, Richard, but I’m mostly an optimistic-realist.
I am all three.
I am, too, Sherry, but heavier on the latter two.
Nice quotation !
Glad you liked it and hopefully it gave you something to consider. 🙂
Great quote, Janet.
Just thought I’d give everyone a little something to consider on this lovely Monday morning, Allan. Glad you enjoyed it. Seems odd not to have Sally’s challenge, though.
I agree, Monday isn’t quite the same without her posts.
I actually have to think about what to post rather than already having a theme. But that’s fun, too. I enjoy challenges, but they take up almost the entire week of posts and could take every day if I let them.
I am thinking more and more about limiting my participation in structured challenges and just posting what interests me the most at the moment.
I’ve been thinking about that as well. Pros and cons to both, of course, but it would be nice to have more time just to muse or feature whatever I want.
It might be time to venture forth. I’ll see you out there.
Always good to have a fellow traveler, Allan.
Fantastic quote…I think that I am an “all of the above” at one time or other, but generally I’m a realist. 💖
I imagine most people have been “all of the above” at some point, but I think it’s a person’s general mindset/outlook that matters.
I’m definitely a realistic optimist — always looking on the sunny side while also watching my step.
That would be me as well, Lindy.
I admit I’ll complain about the wind … then adjust my sails.
… but I likely won’t be happy about it 😉
🙂 Just so you adjust the sails and don’t just complain.
Complaining and not taking any corrective action just seems rather dumb to me.
You’re right, but it happens more often than I’d like to believe.
🙂 the optimist of course! 😀
I thought so. 🙂
My sails are always up, but I ‘m always ready for a change in the wind direction . More than ready to hang over the edge of the boat and keep the balance.
🙂 I can tell from your posts that you have a positive attitude, Virginia.
If i had a hat on, I wouldn’t mind the wind. 🙂
I have lots of hats as well as a few caps, so feel free to borrow one. 🙂
Thanks, Janet. Very generous of you. 😀
Love this! I think I’m a realist in action, with a strong tendency to verbalize my pessimism.
I verbalize when I’m pessimistic, too, Su, although I’m generally an optimistic-realist.
Words to ponder, Janet. Thanks.
My pleasure, Jane. Thanks for dropping by.
My outlook usually is determined by whether I get up in the morning and exclaim… “Good morning… Lord”… or whether I grumble… “Good Lord… it’s morning!”
I’ve never thought of it that way, but that’s exactly right. Thanks! I’ll remember that.
Mostly optimist, morphing into a realist when necessary. 🙂
Right there with you.
So refreshing to be requested for my opinion, and about myself too! 🙂 So, as well as being very interested in myself!……I am a realist!…..
I love the wind! I always love to dress for the weather, and be prepared for it too!
I only get less positive about the wind when it also rains…umbrellas are then useless, as also are raincoats, cagouls, etc, in my opinion.
I’m with you on the wind and the rain. Wind can completely negate almost any rain gear you have, that’s for sure. Thanks for weighing in and letting me know what you are. Hope to hear from you again.
I am sure you will hear from me again!
I always enjoy hearing from other bloggers or from anyone who likes my posts enough to comment. 🙂
