Just because…
…I really am going to the Chicago Institute of Art today, so no Photo Challenge.
…I can’t wait to see the butterflies again.
…I love the colors and I’m color hungry after winter.
…I just like the photo. Hope you do, too. I’m off into “the city” today, downtown Chicago, on a day that’s supposed to be warm and sunny. I’m packing my camera as well as my phone and Kindle, so who knows what you may see in upcoming days?

Are you from Chicago, Lisa? As we live in Naperville and my husband isn’t that excited about going into the city (except by train to ride his bike back home with a friend), I don’t get downtown as much as I’d like. Should be fun.

I am indeed. Grew up on the north shore and lived in the city from 1983 until 2000 when I relocated to NYC (which I left in 2013 to go sailing). It is my kind of town ;-). Enjoy.

Thanks, Judy. What to wear is giving me fits because although it’s cool right now and looks a bit like rain here, it’s supposed to be mostly sunny and into anywhere from the 60’s to almost 80, depending on the report, in Chicago. Since I have to carry everything with me, I don’t want to overdo it. 🙂 Off for the train in about 15 minutes. I’m looking forward to it and taking my camera as well as my phone.
It’s important to support the monarch. I am hopeful that their come back will be seen this summer. I’ll be planting more milkweed, as I hope many will do too. Happy butterflying…
I have some volunteer milkweed that I leave in place and there’s quite a lot in the parks around us.
