Recently while waiting for my friend after her shower, I spent some time taking shots outside.  Caught these little beauties and, as they’re lovely representatives of spring, I thought you might enjoy them as well.  Have a terrific Tuesday!

Disclaimer:  At the end of the week, our younger daughter graduates, so needless to say, the week and weekend will be full.  I have posts for each day, but I won’t be online much, although I’ll certainly respond to comments.  Thanks for your understanding.  🙂

  1. Your photography has something about it which is VERY MOVING. It is not a simple phenomenon. You seem to be tapping into something unquantifiable…maybe some kind of magic or spirituality, the universal truths, Angel Voices?…..We are not qualified to know this kind of answer. But we can appreciate and marvel at the mystery…….Anyway, the snowdrops look like they can’t be real, but I logically know they can be so sweet and perfect.

Gorgeous lilies-of-the-valley! It’s a difficult target to photograph… You succeeded!

  3. Wonderful picture of my favourite flowers 🙂

  4. What a terrific picture of lilies-of-the-valley. We have lots of them around our pear tree and the small flowers can open any day. I already have done a lot of thinking about how to capture them. It seems rather hard, but you did a great job. Did you crouch or lie on the ground to get them right?
And of course, congratulations for your daughter’s graduation!

    • Yes, I was sitting on the driveway and had my phone upside down as well, trying to get underneath as much as possible. Difficult to do, as they’re so close to the ground! I was happy to see that some of the shots turned out well. One advantage of digital is being able to see immediately if a shot worked and if not, trying to get a better one. 🙂

      • Upside down, hm, that is an option, never thought of that. Worth a try. You’re right, you see the result right away in stead of having to wait days before you see the result. That certainly gave us some disappointments with holiday photos when we were younger. Anyway, if my shots of the lilies-of-the-valley are any good, I’ll post them. But your photo was really perfect.

      • Thanks so much, Marga.

Getting the white flowers against an almost jet black background makes the photo stunning. It also adds depth the the flowers to the point of looking 3D. Excellent composition.

  11. Those look like fairy caps hanging to dry. You stumbled upon magic. Outstanding picture.
