… and don’t the textures work so well in sepia … lovely

    • This is actually the color that came out when I took the shot in the evening light. The top is actually white, but it looks so pretty this way that I just used the shot as is.

Oh wow! How lovely! I really thought you’d post-processed into sepia. Golden hour/evening light can be really magical for photography.

    Lovely….. 😊

Is that an actual bottle top — or am I being a bit dim?

    • It’s the top to a small glass bottle, somewhat similar to perfume bottle. The top is the flowers, then there’s a bit of lace and the cord to fancy it up. I’d post a photo of the entire bottle in my comments, except I don’t know that I can do that. The whole thing is probably about three+ inches high and, at the fat part of the bottle, two+ in diameter–and white! I took it when it was darker in the bedroom and this is how the color came out, but I thought it looked lovely.

  4. Need some explanation here, Janet. Is that a real bottle top? It looks like a lovely wax rose far too pretty to be a bottle top.

    • Judy, I just send this answer to Su, who was also curious. This way you won’t have to go back to the post and look for my explanation while boosting my “view” stats. 🙂
