Thursday Doors…another old door

In this part of France, there is abundant stone, so naturally homes and other structures are made of or incorporate stone. This ancient stone oven is a perfect example.  The door is made from the other item found everywhere…wood.

    • Thanks, Norm. I found out it was probably the bread oven for the

    • Drat! Not done. The bread oven for the area. People weren’t to work on Sunday, including cooking. But they could bake bread. So they would fill a pot with meat, veggies, etc. and seal it with dough (bread.). It would go in on Saturday night and be ready Sunday. The first crockpot!,
