Since I’ve been posting about Luxeuil, we’ll stay with that theme for Thursday Doors. Here’s the second set of doors imported from this French town , shared on our 32nd anniversary. 🙂

The blue doors in the second photo are beautiful, Janet.

I thought so, too, Allan.
The last one reminds me of a certain garment for women in some parts of the world.
Yikes! 🙂

So you know what I mean. 🙂
Gorgeous selection. I’ll say it again: I’m sure that together Italy and France have at least 80% of the world’s supply of beautiful doors.
Nice ones Janet 🙂
They certainly have some of the oldest ones, Norm, and many of them are beautiful. I haven’t been to Italy in many years, but I have a feeling it would take me much longer to walk there now. 🙂
Really lovely — I’m especially fond of the blue with the iron work. Love those! 🙂
That’s my favorite, too, although that sunken one had me intrigued!

Did you ever notice that old world doors tend to get worn near the ground? I think they take more of a beating at the bottom for some reason. These are great doors, BTW.
I hadn’t really noticed that, Charles. They seem to be much more worn, but usually in a beautiful way. Glad you enjoyed these.

Beautiful old doors, Janet. I love the ‘un-door-ground’ shot. Looks like the building sank into the street.
I really don’t know about that one, Jean, but I knew I had to take a picture of it.
janet
Nice variety!
Thanks, Karen.

The blue door is so cute (for lack of a better description lol). Hope you had a great anniversary:)
I worked all day and had praise team practice tonight. 🙂 We’re having dinner out next week.

Happy Anniversary! What a wonderful place to celebrate!
Thanks. We didn’t celebrate there, I just posted the photos today on our anniversary. 🙂

Door photos are always so cool to see! Yours are always beautiful! I really need to remember to shoot interesting doors!
Be careful Terri. It’s an addiction! But you have a place to indulge it if you like by stopping by Norm’s on Thursdays.
janet
love the “colorful” door and thanks for the giggle at that last one 😉
I just laugh and shake my head trying to imagine how they use it, why it’s that way, etc.

All of these doors look like they belong to some basilica or medieval church. I like the design of the brown door. The patterns remind me of my grandma’s old furniture. The clarity on these photos is superb too.
Glad you like them, Vinny. The shots are all taken with my iPhone 5s, which does a rather good job of most types of photography.
janet
They were shot on an Iphone? These pictures look professional. Thanks for responding.
All my shots from France this year were taken with my iPhone. So easy to carry, too. 🙂
Well, I like what I see so far. Keep up the good work.
I can imagine. Taking great photos is difficult, I couldnt imagine doing it, and traveling with professional photographer tools.
Congrats on your anniversary! I think I like the second photo best mainly because of the colour.
Thanks for the congratulations. I like the color of that door, too. It’s a good a reason to like that one as any other. 🙂
janet
OH, I love the teal one, and little blue one!
May you two walk through doors always together! Happy Anniversary!! xx
Thanks all around, Deborah. 🙂
janet
Ooo! The blue ones! The blue ones!
🙂 I know, Marian. Me, too.
janet
All cool doors but the last one has an interesting threshold 🙂
It certainly does!

[…] way carefully down the steps, worn in the middle from many feet over many years. Time for door photos, coffee/cappuccino, and finding raspberry […]
Oh my – that first one has such a grand framing, but then just a plain slab of plywood. The door police should be talking to the owner about squandering the potential of this beautiful archway.
… but then the beautiful blue doors that followed made me feel better 🙂
I love the blue ones, too, Joanne. I think we probably have some door police in our group, don’t you think? 🙂
