I saw a Vermeer in our Chicago suburb!
A rather large one. 🙂 Have a happy, laughter-filled Saturday.

Ha ha ha!! Great painting 😉 Have a great saturday you too!
One of his lesser known works. 😉
Haha!! 🙄
Always good to have a bit of fun and just so you know, traffic was stopped.

Brilliant
I’m quite sure this is an unknown Vermeer, Lucile. 😊
so funny –
It’s good to start the weekend with a smile.

And not a pearl earring in sight!
Probably much more useful, MB, although much less decorative.

Did you buy it? steal it? or just hit it?
😉 Randy
Much more mundane, Randy. Just took this shot and then drove on.
I probably should have called the art police about a stolen painting.

Very-y-y-y-y-y funny…
Glad you thought so, Sally.

You’re very welcome, Carol. Thanks for stopping by.

Hate to break it to you but that’s a reproduction. I saw a whole parking lot of knock-offs at a landscaping company.
😂😂😂😂😂😂

So funny. When the boy-child was younger he read a book called ‘Chasing Vermeer’ and it set him off on a quest to see actual Vermeer paintings. He was successful in London and Edinburgh, but we failed totally in the Lourve. The particular gallery that housed the painting he wanted to see was closed on the day we were there, and no amount of pleading (mine and from two wonderful American ladies who took up our cause) would persuade the guards to allow an eight year old boy — who’d travelled from New Zealand and had only one shot at visiting the Louvre — to have a couple of minutes in the presence of a great painting.
Aww, that’s a shame. Glad I could share one he’s never seen before. 😄😄
