What a pleasant view. The American countryside often seems to be a place of warm browns, russets and soft golden colours. (at least it often seems that way in the movies 🙂 )
Suzanne, it depends a lot on where you are, although quite a lot of the country has the fall colors of leaves. My parents live in Arizona and in the Southwest, in most places there are few trees and lots of cacti. They don’t change color. 🙂 When they used to visit us in the Midwest, they would always remark about how many trees there were.
Maybe one day I’ll actually visit America. It would be great to take road trip across the country – then again it would be great to do that here in Oz too. Hopefully I will do some of those in 2017.
It’s the view from the front window of my s-i-l’s apartment and since we were there for a few days over Thanksgiving, I had lots of opportunities to see it. 🙂
Thanks, Allan. We were visiting my s-i-l for Thanksgiving and this was the view from her apartment window. Most of the time it was grey and rainy, so the colors were rather muted, but it was still lovely.
We still have some signs around here, too, Dan, although most of the leaves are gone. The temperature has gone down now and it feels like winter. I’m good with that. It’s time.

We hope to visit your part of the world one day as well.
You have a lovely view!

Oh how Picturesque. What a view. That yellow leaves tree looks like Gold. Its like a perfect Wall Paper.
It’s just the right time of year for those beautiful colors. Not long and all the leaves will be gone.

They will be covered with snow caps !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nature as art; so beautiful.
The best sort of art, Su. 🙂

This is classic ? Looks like a hanging portrait. That’s how it looks upstate NY during this season. Very lovely.
I imagine it does look like that in upstate NY as well as many other places. Just one of the reasons I enjoy the seasons.

You have really captured the mood of this season of the year, Janet. Beautiful colors.

Like a beautiful autumnal painting! 🙂 Love it.
Thanks! That’s exactly what I though it looked like.

Beautiful Janet! All our leaves are down and it is gray!
Sunny here yesterday and so far today, although now I look out and see it’s clouding up. 😦
You have a gorgeous view!
We enjoyed it while we were there (at least I did) and it was so nicely framed by the window.

And each window square frames its own image.
All the more fun, eh? (Me being Canadian.) 🙂 Comes from being a hockey fan!
Now that’s certainly a window worth having!
A small view of the world as the seasons change.
janet
Dreamy, looks like home 🙂
I’m glad.

Still some signs of autumn – beautiful!

We’ve warmed back up ???
I could gaze out of your window for a long, long time, Janet. Beautiful.
I agree. My s-i-l has a lovely view. Happy Friday, Marion.

You too, dear!
