Thursday Doors…Blue, blue, my doors are blue

There’s nothing like a blue door…unless it’s three blue doors…and three blue-framed windows as a bonus.  Although you can’t really see the other door lurking between #40 and #2, it’s down there.  Lots of door bang for my photo buck at this Philadelphia location.

OW! SO MUCH BANG! IT’S HURTING MY EARS! Naturally, being contrary, my favorite door is the partly visible one with the rounded arch with steps DOWN to it instead of UP to it. 😀

Great shot Janet. If you hadn’t said Philly I might have guessed a village in the French countryside.

They did what they could to spruce up a dull brick building!

Am liking the bright colored doors more and more, now I have been participating in Thurs.Doors for a while:0 Blue it is for you this week! Actually this is the first time I notice your copy right sign in your photo – good for you!

  9. There is something about a bright blue door – it is almost like a smile. This was a handsome catch. 🙂

  10. They certainly are blue. Great find, Janet.

  11. Joanne Sisco says:

The combination of blue windows with the blue doors is very complementary. Nice one!
I actually like the composition of the photo with the bikes in the right corner, however it would have been perfect had the bike been the same colour! 😉

  12. This looks so much like the swimming pool building i used to operate, with the blue doors and all that brick! It was built in the 1920s. I’ll have to dig out a photo if I have it!

  13. All the elements of a good door post present, including the 2 bicycles!

  14. Great find! I like the bicycles in front of the building too.

  15. What a great photo! The blue doors really make a statement!

What do you think? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this, that or the other thing.
