    Are you sure? I heard it’s a burger πŸ™‚

  2. Lenore Brashear says:

A burger for people with high Cholestrol !??!

I would not be able to eat it, though. The taste of burger would implode into the cake, because the power of suggestion is powerful. A cake tasting like burger, even if you knew it was cake, would be a disorienting experience. Most news is distorted, has been for as long as I can remember, but we still read it. My classmates and I were in the newspaper for a fund raiser when Pakistan and India were separated (you can see how old I am) and we were captioned as “Pakistani youngsters” because we were wearing saris. I have not trusted newspapers since that day.

    • Trust but verify is, unfortunately, always appropriate. I trusted newspapers more when there was news and there was an opinion page, clearly labeled.

The power of suggestion can really impact what you eat or whether or not you eat something. With cake, the amount of frosting is a bigger factor to me than the look of the cake. I’m for moist cake and little frosting. Most frosting is much, much too sweet for me.

Oh my. This is the kind of burger I could really sink my teeth into. Next stop – sugar high!!

  6. bythebriny says:

Clever decorating — but I’d prefer an ordinary, classic chocolate layer cake. πŸ™‚

  7. emiliopasquale says:

    I don’t think I can eat this cake if I’m a vegetarian. πŸ˜‰

  8. I would send flowers to the artist who created it and ask for a large piece please. πŸ™‚ But, if that was on FB or Twitter it would take on a life of its own, and they’d still be loudly debating what it is a month from now and reporting the number of likes and shares on the national news. πŸ™‚

  9. Su Leslie says:

Eating it would really mess with your head. And now I’m wondering how weird it would be to have a burger-tasting cake. I’m guessing the sign on the side says “8 inch buttercream”? That sounds like a heart attack waiting to happen.

  10. Now you’re treading in dangerous, controversial waters… The whole premise is highly deceptive to begin with. I would argue that it’s not a burger NOR a cake. It’s merely a photo. πŸ˜‰

  11. joey says:

    Mmm, cake! *scrapes off icing*
