Good one. π I’m boycotting WPC because I hate it being on Wednesday. I’m sure they care. π
I know, Judy. I preferred Friday as well, but as you say, they don’t care. Glad you enjoyed my entry, though.

Good one! Haha.
Glad you enjoyed it. I just had to go with something different.

Older matches worked better. Newer ones are thin, spindly and break too easily! π
If they get too old, though, sometime they no longer strike. These, however, are working just fine. Thanks for taking time to comment.

very good one!
Thanks, Juls. It was a day to have fun.

Oh how fun!!!
Thanks, Carol. It was that sort of day. π

Clever, Janet! π
Still lighting the Revolutionary Spirit after all these years? Nice solution to the challenge, Janet.

Still at it, Allan. π I usually try to find a unique entry and thought this would qualify and be fun as well.
Mission(s) accomplished!

Thanks, Joey.
Nice one! I enjoyed this photo and the humor in the “match”.
I’m glad, Anne. Just seemed like the way to go. π

I like that box. Today’s stick matches have the worst strikers! I can never get them to light and end up scraping off the striking stuff on the side of the box. π¦
That’s so frustrating, isn’t it?
janet
That’s a very cool photo, Janet.
Thanks a lot, Dan.
Clever take on the challenge!
Thanks, Karen. I even lit a couple of the matches for just the right atmosphere and smell. π

So literal, lol… Love your take, Janet!
I was thinking about the obviously different, such as couples, food and drink, etc. and this jumped out at me. How could I resist?

I remember when that type of boxed matches were used.
Nice choice, Janet, for the challenge.
Isadora π
Thanks, Izzy. We have several boxes of this type of match and one of the matches in the smaller packs that you can carry around.
I’m sure years from now they’ll be rare as all unused items become. : – )
Great take on the challenge. I remembered about the change of date up until about half an hour before the challenge was posted. Then it was this morning before I remembered it again. π¦
I had to work, so I couldn’t get to it until late afternoon. I always feel like I’m far behind when that happens, but I guess life can’t revolve around the Photo Challenge. π

Very clever Janet!
π Thanks, Nicole.
Janet, I would have thought a good match would have been you and your horse. But this will do. Great match for the prompt! π
That was the first thought that crossed my mind, Emilio, the second being the mountains of Wyoming. But I figured everyone would expect that, so I looked for something a bit more unique. Glad you enjoyed my choice.
Haha! Good ‘match’ indeed π
π Thanks, NJ.
