These days, spring comes closer, only to flirtatiously retreat, leaving me craving color. That desire lures me deep into the heart of a flower this week with this macro shot. Dive in with me. Drown in color! Who knows what you’ll find in the heart.

Janet, well done…your image gives us a hint of what’s around the corner. Even with the forecast for snow, I can feel spring’s energy. Happy Photo Challenge.
Good morning from snowy Naperville, Sally. Your image does the same and I really enjoyed it. Hope you have a wonderful day and week.
Stunning…would love to see this as a huge print.
Thanks! As it’s taken with an iPhone, it probably wouldn’t do well that large, but I may try a smaller print and see how that does.

Stunning, and it sure beats white. 🙂
Yes, you have quite a lot of that today, I think. We got less the 2″, although someone said we were supposed to get a lot more tonight/tomorrow. We’ll see. But the colors do help!

A bug’s eye view — rather mesmerizing.
Funny, Karen, I hadn’t thought of it that way, but it would be. 🙂

Wonderful shot Janet. Popping with lovely fresh colour.
Glad you like it, Su. I love the color, too, and as we’re having a bit of snow, I like it even more. 🙂
Love the color this week, Janet.

Thanks, Allan. With fresh snow on the ground, the color is even more appreciated. 🙂 We’ve dipped back into winter for a few days.
🙂 What a great picture – nature is beautiful!
Have a very HAPPY week 🙂
Thanks and you as well. 🙂

Lovely macro. One can’t help but think of Spring, looking at those colours. Having said that, it’s Autumn here and the thick blankets are coming back out.
Even thought I know it works that way, it always seems odd to have opposite seasons. But it does make life interesting. 🙂

I recognize those cannas. Great look into the center.
Thanks, Carol. I’m glad you enjoyed the look.

You’ll see my canna later this year I hope.
Love the color, and the feeling that I could jump in and slide down and around into the heart.
That makes me smile, Angeline, because that’s just how I felt. 🙂

That’s so pretty, Janet. It’s like another world.
Thanks, Dan. It’s a huge world for a bug. 🙂

Macro flower photography is infallibility beautiful. There’s such an incredible world going on in these tiny forms that we would otherwise completely pass by. Thank you for bringing it into sharp, glorious focus.
My pleasure. Thanks for stopping by and enjoying it.

Stunning Janet! Spring is just around the corner for us! 😊
Thanks, Nicole. The corner moved a bit further away for a few days. 🙂
I love looking into the heart of a flower Janet. There is so much to a bloom.
I feel the same, Joe. It’s a different beauty from just seeing the flower itself, but both are lovely.
