It’s a glorious spring day in northern Illinois as I write this post on Saturday…warm, sunny, windy (of course)…absolutely what we’ve been waiting for. The windows are open, I’ve had a walk around the lake, taken some photos, and sat on a bench just relaxing and enjoying being outside. Tomorrow is Palm Sunday as well as the latest installment of the Oddball Photo Challenge. Here’s my oddball for this week.

I always wonder what the story behind this is!
I do, too, Aletta!!

There is always something a bit curious about one item of a pair abandoned. It looks so forlorn!
And how did someone not notice that it was missing? 🙂

Yes; the story of a single shoe has got the potential to be so interesting.
Makes you wonder if s/he walked right out of his shoes or it fell out of a car. Either way, at some point I’m guessing it was missed. 🙂 Glad spring has arrived in your neighborhood.
Judy, I’m loving spring, especially after having been in California. Yesterday I sat outside by the small lake near our house and it was wonderful!

🙂 It just makes one think – did the person who lost the shoe walk around with one shoe only?
Happy Sunday 🙂
I know! And if s/he wasn’t wearing it, how did it end up here?

I love the color coordination in this photo.

Thanks, Allan.

And it is an NBA lost slipper. A month of Basketball playoffs stat sonn. Fun post.
More important to me is that hockey playoffs start sometime next week. 🙂 It’s that time of year.

Finding a single show is always a puzzle to me. Did the person not realize they just lost their shoe, as they hobble down the street- one show on, one shoe off- wondering why they are now lop-sided?
I think the same thing, Emilio.

“Finding a single shoe….”
Like the others above I always wonder how one shoe gets left behind?
It’s nice to hear you’ve had such a day.
Deborah, it’s finally spring, with all its ups and downs. Flowers are starting to come out and although we had some rain this morning and may again later, it’s lovely again. I do love being able to open the windows!

🙂
I’m closing the windows. It’s so beautiful and full of bloom here my poor sinuses have been in agony for two days.
My face feels better today, but I think this Spring/Summer is going to hit a lot of us hard in the sinuses!
What price beauty, and fresh air! 🙂
Oh, no, Deborah. So sad to read that! I’ll just enough ours for you, too.
🙂
