Lovely Janet. I feel like I’m lying in the grass peeping through.
You almost are, Su, but although you might think that’s the sky in the background, it’s actually a lake. 🙂
Wow! When I look at the shot now, knowing that, it’s clear, but I did imagine a moody, almost stormy summer sky. 🙂
I must admit, I did it with the disconnect in mind. 🙂
Beautiful shot!
Thanks, Victo! 🙂 Happy Friday.

Stunning photo, Janet. Nice way to start the day. 🙂
Glad to make your morning beautiful, Judy. The Indian paintbrush is Wyoming’s state flower and although it was late for them this year, because of all the rain, there were still quite a few.
🙂 This is really pretty!
At first I thought you had used the tool paintbrush to change or intensify the flowers 😉
Have a very HAPPY 1st September, dear Janet!
xo Claudia 🙂
🙂 These flowers were at the edge of a small lake, Claudia, and so beautiful. Only God’s paintbrush at work here!!
Happy September 1st to you, too, and have a wonderful weekend.
So beautiful Janet ! 😍
Thanks, Zee, and have a great weekend.
Beautiful! Love the colors and composition 🙂
Thanks so much, Joey. I hope your morning is as bright as those flowers and that you have a glorious first weekend in September!

Just wonderful – so much good feelings!
So serene, so peaceful… Its soothing just to enjoy your photo of this scene. I can only imagine how calming it must have been to actually be there.
It was quiet, calm, and beautiful. It stayed quiet until I decided to climb a nearby hill that had no trail and was rather steep. Then my 7,000′ breathing broke the silence. 🙂

That’s a beautiful bouquet!
And a living one, which is even better. 🙂 I believe it’s illegal to pick the flowers or dig up the plant of the Indian paintbrush (but I didn’t see any flower police around.)

I always enjoy the various floral colors of autumn. These showcase fall beautifully. ( Though it’s still quite hot here in Fla.) 😎
Although the nights here in northern Illinois have gotten much cooler (lovely sleeping weather), the days are still in the 70’s, perfect from my POV. I was happy that there were so many flowers still around the cabin in August this year and glad you enjoyed these. Have a wonderful long weekend, Issy.
