That’s nice of you to say, Jane. I just try to do what I like others to do. If people only like and never comment, I don’t really get to know them and I sometimes wonder whether they’re simply “liking” and not really reading or looking.
Janet, I totally agree, and would go one step further… I especially enjoy when comments go to some depth of thought and/or extending knowledge and points of view. Like this!!
Conversation between/among friends is always fun (well, usually) and it’s the only way to extend relationships with other bloggers, except for meeting them in person. I’ve been fortunate enough to meet a number in person and hope to add to that amount over the next years. 🙂
The worst comments are ones that are the same from the same person each time, those that are “Great post. Come by and check out my post.”, and similar. Might as well not comment, then.

Liking and commenting. Two major decisions in the world today. I will usually only like when someone never reciprocates. Sometime I have no time to comment so I hope a like will suffice. At least it lets the person know I was there. It’s been fun getting to “know” you Janet. 🙂
It’s been fun “meeting” you, too, Emilio, and we’ll meet for real some time in Wyoming or Arizona or… I try to comment most of the time but sometimes I just don’t have time. I also don’t always feel like comment when people never reciprocate.
