Nothing like the fields of lavender in southern France, but I’m quite happy that I have four bundles drying, lavender that I grew. 🙂 It really is a lovely scent.
It’s a lambskin, Allan. When our girls were little, we bought each of them a lambskin and put them in their cribs and, later, on their beds. They loved to sleep on them and we even took them on the plane the few times we flew when the girls were little. Sitting in the bulkhead section, we’d put the lambskin on the floor and they were content to lie or play on it. My husband always liked them, so one year for Christmas, I got him one. 🙂 We usually have it over the back of the couch and I thought it would make a good background for this shot.
I love it, too. I have a beautiful cloth bag filled with lavender that I put on my pillow during the day (when I remember) so that the scent lingers at night, something I picked up while in France some years ago.
Thank you for this lovely bouquet, Janet, I can almost smell the lavender….

A scent from their blooms enter my morning, thanks.
My pleasure, Sally. Such a love way to start the day. 🙂

Beautiful colors, Janet. I like the background, too—it looks like rice, but I bet it is a towel?

It is a wonderful background for photographic subjects—almost cloud-like. Thanks for filling in the backstory.

That’s a lovely bouquet! I bet it smelled wonderful too.
That it did. It and two others are now nicely drying in the dining room, hanging from a shelf. 🙂

How wonderful to have home-grown lavender. Nice, evocative image Janet 😃
It made me happy to have it, Su. I would have had more, but I left it for the bees and butterflies for quite a while. 🙂
😃 the right thing to do!!
Very pretty!
Thanks, Dan. I do love lavender and its scent.

You, too, Claudia.
I love lavender! Am feeling more relaxed just at the suggestion of this flower’s magical scent… my favorite!
