Downtown Louisville has more than just doors featuring artists creations. Even though we were there for the Ironman, I found time to point my phone at some of them. 🙂 I had to do some catching up to everyone else at times, but it was worth it.
I found tall, elegant doors topped with a fascinating reflection,
doors that would look different one day, but were much more interesting than simple glass doors, and
sophisticated classics, a little of everything.
Go through more doors at Norm’s, our fearless and a-door-able leader, and at the link page for this week.
I love the last one… it has a little bit of the doors or a luxury ship :O)
I’ve never been on a luxury ship nor do I have plans to be, but I know what you mean. Happy Thursday to all of you.

Louisville is eclectic, for sure! You’ll need to go back for a door-seeing — er, sight-seeing vacation. 🙂
I’d love to go back again and just have time to walk around, eat, drink…and take photos (of doors and other things.)

I thought the top would remain a clear favorite, until I scrolled to the bottom. So hard to choose, Janet. Great photos.
You may have them both, Dan. 🙂
Lovely choices Janet. I love the clean simple look of the first one but rich dark wood tones always win me over.
Great shots 🙂
It’s a good thing you don’t have to choose, eh? Happy Thursday, fearless leader.
Nice photos, Janet. The last set of doors are well-made and speak to us about another time at this same place.

They definitely have a classic air about them, Allan.
I like ALL the doors. But my favorite is the last one. Beautiful dark doors with glass. I even love the reflection! —-Ginger—-
I’m glad you liked the doors, Ginger. There are so many wonderful doors in the world and it’s so much fun trying to find as many as possible. 🙂

Nice selection, Janet, all very different but lovely in their own right.
Much more fun than if they were all the same, the way most of the doors in our little area are. Since we’re in a rental, we’re not about to change our door, but variety is nice.
Great doors. Can’t pick a favorite.
The best part is, you don’t have to. Simply enjoying them is more than enough. 🙂

🙂 They’re all interesting and so very different. But personally I prefer the last ones.
A classic.
Have a very HAPPY day, dear Janet! 🙂
I’m happy you liked them, Claudia, and I hope your Thursday has gone wonderfully!
Hi J – I think the first set of doors feel Parisian or Italian… and I love how you gave us the long up view to even catch the reflection.
and the quadruple dine – I am so there…. (guess there is no confusion as to what is inside – lol)
I think that there’s probably nothing in there right now, but it will be a restaurant one day or even that the “Dine” is there to get people thinking about eating downtown. But it does look good and I really like the other two doors as well. Glad you do, too.

🙂
I love that first door! So stately! At least there’s no question as to what is behind door number 2. 🙂 Rich woods are so beautiful. Thanks for sharing these Janet.
-Amy
Ha, door number 2. I used a reference to that show before. 🙂 Glad you enjoyed these beauties.

Those are three different doors and I like them all. However, if I had to choose one, I’d go with the last one. Very sophisticated, even with the notice to not trespass & solicit.
Isn’t it good you don’t have to choose? 🙂 I think sometimes it just depends on the day which door in a post I prefer.
janet
Interesting finds.
Glad you enjoyed them.
janet
Nice! I really love that first set. It’s different. In a good way. 🙂
🙂 Different can be good, right? If not, you and I may be in trouble!! 🙂
janet
Absolutely!
Love that first one! Some have a thing for red doors, I have one for white:)
I bet your a-door-able leader’s well pleased with you, Janet. 🙂 🙂 Love the first one!
Thanks, Jo. 🙂

Really nice diverse selection of doors this week Janet! I love the first and last sets.
I do enjoy the elegant doors, Deborah.
