Thanks and happy New Year, Nicole. For some reason, your comment fell into my spam folder along with 37 actual spam messages. However, you are now rescued and they deleted! 🙂
Loved your photo and the quote. No resolutions this year, just going to do the best I can and try to prune down my list. Best wishes for the new year to you and Bill!
I was reading that setting goals is better than resolutions and then checking on your progress periodically. Makes sense to me. 🙂 Still frigid here, but the sun’s been out, even though that actually means it’s colder. 🙂
Thanks very much, Deborah. Ready to get back to blogging after a lovely break, even though I’ll be taking another one when I visit my parents in Arizona this month. I hope your 2018 is off to a good start.
Thanks so much, Claudia. Just waiting for it to get warm enough to go out again. It’s been frigid and when it’s that cold, my phone camera doesn’t want to work (or my phone, for that matter) and it’s too cold to use my Nikon or even go outside. 😦
Wonderful quote Janet. Wishing you a wonderful 2018 and I look forward to continuing to follow you.
We are super cold in Ohio but it’s not much warmer in Pittsburgh where I am headed now that the holidays have come to a close.
Aw, thanks so much, Ruth. I appreciate reading that. This morning we’re in positive temperature territory, if just barely, so that’s (if you’ll pardon the expression) a plus. 🙂 I’ll enjoy the relative warmth while I can.
I’ll be a better woman too. And you Dear Janet
Thanks, Carol. 🙂
Janet, best wishes for a year of comfort and joy ahead for you and yours.
Thanks, Sally, and the same to you.
Lovely Janet! Happy New Year and wishing you the best for 2018!

Happy New Year, Janet. May 2018 bring you lots of happiness.
Thanks, Angeline. Great to hear from you. I hope all’s well for you and yours.
Your New Year’s quote is so applicable to our times. Thank you Janet, and a very happy and calm 2018 to you. Cheers Virginia
Thanks, Virginia. 🙂

And I – a better woman. Cheers, Janet!
🙂 Pretty sure Ben meant “men” in the sense of humankind, but I was wondering when someone would mention that.
🙂 Dear Janet,
have a very HAPPY and healthy NEW YEAR!
Looking forward to a bunch of interesting an fun photos from you.
Claudia 🙂

Thanks very much, Randy.
great wish for the new year. Love the picture you have added to it.
Thanks for both of those, Ritva, and a wonderful 2018 to you, too.

A very good quote to take through 2018. Maybe it should now say “person”…
I thought of that, Pauline, but when Ben was around, “men” meant people in situations such as this, so I just left it. 🙂

How times have changed!
Love his quotes. They transcend time. 🙂 Happy and healthy 2018 to you, Janet. 🙂
They do, Judy. All the best to you and yours in this upcoming year as well.
🙂 A fine thought, and a beautiful image with it. All the best to you for 2018 Janet.
