Welcome back to Thursday Doors and happy 2018.  Norm, as always, thanks for hosting this group of door lovers.

This first shot was taken while we were waiting for the train into the city of Brotherly Love. I like the bright, cheerful colors.

I like the sturdiness of this set of doors and the color, even if it’s much more subtle than the ones in the first.

I do like a green door.  Philadelphia is full of great doors and great colors.

  1. What a bright spot that little house offers – something we can appreciate during all the grey and grim days right now.
Nothing like an old door to give elegance – and offer a story

    • If you have a shed, it might as well be bright and cheerful, that’s for sure. Philly is full of elegant doors, weathered or not, so it’s lots of fun to be there and my daughter’s quite good about indulging me.

  2. Dan Antion says:

Great doors, Janet. Every time you share photos from Philly, I think “I really need to go back there for a visit.”

  3. Allan G. Smorra says:

The first set of doors are like a box of crayons. A nice pop of color.

  4. The little house reminded me of a rubik (sp?) cube.
I do like a green door as well. This one is a nice shade of green.

  5. marianallen says:

Nice collection this week. I love that green door with asymmetry.

  6. bikerchick57 says:

Those maroon doors seem foreboding to me. Perhaps it’s the color? I’m just not sure I would want to enter there if I didn’t know what was inside. 😉

  7. dimlamp says:

An interesting collection, the first one brings a bit of January cheer to our minus thirty Great White North winter. 🙂

  8. I love the colours in the first shot, Janet, lovely little find that. 🙂

  9. Su Leslie says:

    A Mondrian-inspired shed; how cool!

  10. Norm 2.0 says:

Nice ones Janet. That cute Rubik’s Cube shed door is my favorite 🙂

  11. Leya says:

Great set – and I love that cube too.

  12. I love the doors you’re always finding. Not too keen on the primary colored ones though, lol.

  13. jesh stg says:

Yay, purple – on of my favorite colors, but the first one is very colorsful! Great you happened to see it:)

  14. joey says:

Kinda got a geometric vibe today 🙂
Love that last green, that’s a great door!

  15. Amy says:

Great collection Janet. That first one reminds of a bold retro pattern that I’ve seen on clothing! I love the other two as well. I’m guessing they aren’t used because they don’t seem to have handles. 🙂

  16. prior.. says:

that green door felt like philly! and the second one – is that a very small door?
also – do love the colors in the first – and the way it is back and through the square fence and greenery allows the colors to pop

  17. […] these are doors from Janet’s city. She knows way more about Chicago doors than I do, and she participates in Thursday Doors (that’s an old link. I’ll update it later if she posts today). I feel a little weird showing […]

What do you think? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this, that or the other thing.
