While at one of the tent shows in Arizona, I saw this pond. At the angle I took the shot, the effect was naturally (almost) black and white. I had a wonderful time visiting my parents. Now that I’m back, I’m working quite a lot and struggling to keep up with my blog and yours. I’m looking forward to a relaxing weekend and I hope yours is the same.

That’s a stunning picture, Janet. Nice find and quick thinking to snap it. I hope you have a relaxing weekend.
That it turned out B&W was just luck, Dan. I took other shots in color, too, but I really liked the way this one turned out. I don’t have to work this weekend, so I’m planning to relax, at least mostly. 🙂 You have a wonderful weekend, too.
Lovely burst of energy in a silent space.
Funny that you should mention the silent space, Sally. The shot seems full of silence to me.

I love the way it looks like glittery diamonds on all the edges of the leaves. Great shot!
Glad you like it, J2. I like it in color, too, but something about the B&W really appeals to me.

Gorgeous light 🙂
Thanks, Joey. There’s lots of sunshine in Arizona even during the winter, which is one thing I really like.

Beautifully done, Janet. I like the little flares/highlights around the leaves.

Thanks, Allan. It turned out much better than I could have imagined.
I love the reflections, sharp edges, and almost metallic quality to the highlights here. Very dramatic.
It’s interesting, Hannah, because it was so much softer in real life. But the sun reflecting into the lens changed everything.

Gorgeous photo Janet. The whole effect reminds me of a couple of dresses I saw in the Dior exhibition last year. 😀
