The back petal almost looks like fabric. Very nice photo.

    • Good morning, Dan, and thanks. I’m enjoying seeing the color, as we’re inundated with piles of the white stuff this morning and it’s still snowing. We’re getting what I hope is the last big storm of the year, but it’s certainly beautiful outside!!

I understand the need for color. It looks like that storm is going to bring us a bunch of rain. I think we have several storms yet to come, but I hope you’re right.

      • As it’s only the beginning of February, we could well get more, Dan. I don’t even really mind, as long as it’s snow and not masses of rain. In winter, I much prefer snow.

I agree. The storm that is working its way east will likely fall as rain here in CT. I’m not looking forward to that.

Gorgeous! I am always amazed at the intricacy of God’s creation.

  3. Allan G. Smorra says:

An explosion of purple and gold, just in time for Mardi Gras. This is well composed and exposed, Janet, with just the right amount of saturation. A fitting cover for a gift card or a church bulletin.

  6. Stunning! yes, we go chasing rainbows and exotic experiences, when all along they’re often tucked right under our noses!

  7. Jet Eliot says:

There is a lot going on there for the inside of one flower — textures, colors, and brightness too. Thanks for the sparky glimpse, Janet.
