Yes! So many ways to take inspiration from this one. Seriously, it would be a fantastic photo to have on the wall in so many offices. If you sold prints (which you should) this would be such a big hit.
Virginia, this was from another spring. We still have a fair amount of snow, although that will be melting over the next days. But it’s the promise of spring to come.

Dainty, but tough
Very true, Pauline.

If you could ever sum up the idea of spring in one picture, this would be it. You should make this into a large print!
Many thanks, Hannah. Also a metaphor for the strength of small things, for growing, etc.

I love the word ‘protrude’. And ‘extrude’. Though that’s a bit cruel.
It is a good word, isn’t it, Ali? When thinking of “extrude”, I like to think of cookie dough being extruded from a cookie press at Christmas. 🙂

Great photo – it’s so good to see this little guy poking up in to the sun.
I wish we were seeing this now, but not yet. 🙂

Hardy wee thing! Great image 😀
It’s amazing where plants will grow and also the disruption their roots can cause if they get big enough! 🙂

True! Bamboo is the classic example.
Life always find a way. Great one this is, Janet 🙂
Thanks. Glad you liked it!
