I’m starting to look forward to seeing spring flowers outside, although it may be some time yet, as it’s been grey and rainy for a few days now. As for the weekend, I wish you the same.
It’s called sneezeweed and it grows everywhere here, but nothing eats it. Cows don’t like it, horses nor deer either. I’ll have to pay more attention this year to see if the pollinators even like it, lol. I’m sure it has its place in the ecosystem but it takes up a lot of space where grass (or other plants) could be growing for the horses instead, which is the only reason I don’t like it so much.
Thanks, Issy. I think today’s going to be another mostly grey day, but that’s OK. It won’t be long until the sun’s out, at least for a few days. We may get more rain later next week, not good news for those in places where there’s been flooding.
Lovely. Wishing you a wonderful weekend.

Bright and sunny – have a lovely weekend, Janet.
You as well, A-C.
That’s a flower I don’t like much (the yellow one) but you’ve managed to make appreciate at least something about it. Beautiful pic!
What is it, Madison, and why don’t you like it?

Sneezeweed isn’t a very appealing name, is it?
LOL, better than ‘skunk cabbage’ or ‘putrid weed’, I guess. The skunk cabbage is very useful, though.
Putrid weed is the worst. 🙂
I like the border, complements the flower colours
That was my evil plan, Pauline. I’m glad it worked. 🙂

What lovely colors, textures, patterns, and partners! I love those cone flowers. Happy Friday and week-end to you too Janet!
Thanks and happy Friday to you as well, Deborah.
🙂
The colors are so bright. They go well with the sun shiny day we’re having. Sending sun rays your way , Janet. Have a wonderful weekend.
Issy 😎

A beautiful splash of color today, Janet.

Hopefully it foreshadows your weekend, Allan.
This is a really beautiful capture Janet – love your title and love the way the colors work together. Well done!
Thanks, Tina, and thanks for dropping by.
This is a terrific composition and great use of complementary colors, Janet.
Good morning, Jane, and thanks for stopping by. Glad you liked the shot and what I did with it. Have a wonderful weekend.
Oh Janet, this is beautiful. 😀 😀 Have a terrific weekend.
Many thanks, Cee. You have a great weekend as well.
I like how bright these are!
I’m craving brightness these days, Dan.

I know that feeling. Maybe that’s why these stand out so well.
