Sometimes a photo says it all. This door showed up outside our local library one day and I didn’t even have to search for it.
Our chief mechanic is Norm. Stop by his blog and click on the link critter to drive by more doors.

Now, that is a beauty. I can visualize the heft of opening that large door. 🙂
It would be a good workout for your arm, I think. 🙂

Nice choice, Janet. That harkens back to the time when car doors were made of steel—shiny, sculpted red steel with chrome accents.

It would be fun to drive this beauty, wouldn’t it? I always wonder whether today’s garages are long enough for the older cars.
Or wide enough?
Ω
Maybe a two-car garage. They’re not really wide enough for two regular cars, but they’d be wide enough for one of these, I think.
I think you’re on the right track.

Nice one! Great car and a fantastic colour. I hadn’t thought a featuring car doors
I like to do something unexpected sometimes, Debbie. 🙂 Some of these old cars are such beauties.

Very cool car.
I thought so, too, J2.

Love your fancy red door. But have a hard time seeing Norm as a car mechanic, even though he is in a way:)
A good mechanic is without price, as is Norm. 🙂

Agreed!
Classic doors. Way to go, Janet!
Thanks, Dan. 🙂
Oh yeah baby! That’s a classic. Nice find and it sure pops in red 🙂
That it does, Norm. It’s a beauty.

Nice ride….
I agree. 🙂

The whole package is wonderful! Great door.
Thanks, Deborah. I’d offer you a ride, but it’s not mine to share. 🙂

reminds me of the cars I see in Cuba, although this one looks to be in much better shape!
This one was in excellent shape, but having seen photos from blogging friends who’ve visited Cuba, I would agree.
