Hillsdale, Michigan is home to Hillsdale College as well as to many elegant old homes.  Our older daughter attended Hillsdale, giving me a chance to walk around the town one day some years ago, during which time I spotted a few Thursday Door-worthy doors.

You can’t see much of the door in the next shot, but the other details on the house are worth it.

You can virtually travel across North America and around the world to view doors heading over to Norm’s blog.  You’ll enjoy it, even thought it’s still snowing in Montreal.  Dress warmly!

    Love that green house!

  3. Love the first one – it has absolutely everything. 🙂

    • 🙂 To my mind, the only thing missing is a porch, at least a small one, which would be nice in winter or in rain and to sit out on during the summer. But other than that…

I like that first door, the dark red brick around it is very complimentary.

  6. Allan G. Smorra says:

The first door is a beauty, Janet. The notches in the brickwork pattern allow room for the essentials: mail, lights, motion sensor, and a receptacle.

OMG that owl! And to be able to sit on a window seat in that curve. Love the brick one too. All so interesting.

  8. Lovely neat houses, Janet. I love the owl above the window. 🙂

Great choices. I agree about the first one needing a porch – otherwise it would be perfect!
