Six-Word Saturday…The way I like to shop.

It’s not about the photo today, but about the savings and about the way I always like to shop.  I have, at times, actually saved more than I spent, and always on things I would buy anyway.  Happy Saturday!  I’m off to work shortly.

    🙂 My kind of shopping!
However, I very rarely find these fantastic deals!
A very HAPPY Saturday to you, too, dear Janet!
    Claudia 🙂

    • I always shop sales when shopping for groceries (or anything else, if possible) and this time everything was on sale or buy-one-get-one, which made all the difference. 🙂

  2. That kind of saving certainly does makes a woman smile. 🙂

I’ve seen it happen a few times at Michaels where the customer saves more than they spend. Interestingly, I have to point it out to them because they are not aware!

That is a good way to shop.

    • Doesn’t work most of the time, but the closer those two numbers are, the better…unless the second one is the greater. Then viva la difference!

  9. Not bad at all! I’m a crazy couponer and a saving more than you spend is so incredibly satisfying. Bringing that total down is almost like a game sometimes.

  10. Looks like you got all your savings done in one store. When I was a kid I remember going with momma from store to store, using the coupons and shopping the sales in each one to fill her grocery list. I will buy things on specials when I see them, and stock up when it’s something I know I’ll use before it expires. I can never remember to use any coupons I might have on me, though.

    • I hardly ever use coupons these days, as I mostly stop at Aldi and Costco, which don’t take or need coupons, and a local store called Fresh Thyme. The latter does have virtual coupons, but I have yet to use any. I always try to buy things that are on special and, at Costco, things that are on sale that month. My mom used coupons all the time, but she also shopped what was on sale as much as possible, which is really the best way to save a lot.
