A beautiful photo to accompany the prose, Janet. It reminds me of the fog bank that flows down the east slope of the Marin headlands into Sausalito during the summer afternoons. It’s known as The Hand of God.

Might be a fog related to this one, since this one was in Yosemite. I wondered whether there are fog families. 🙂 We were only in Yosemite a few days, but they were such very special ones.
I’ve shared other photos from that day, but it was a very special day in all ways: time with our older daughter, time to visit a beautiful place, and time to be able to catch a special kind of beauty.
I love watching the fog roll in over the bay each evening on my commute home. This is very similar, but of course, much more soothing without all the noise of the city below…
Yes, the quiet was wonderful and even though there were lots of people visiting even in March, the immensity of Yosemite swallowed up much of the noise. In the morning like this, it was very quiet.
Thanks, Deborah. In the summer, there are places at the park were there are lots and lots of these flowers and they’re beautiful. The bees and hummingbirds like them, too.
A lovely quote.
Thanks and thanks for being the first to comment. I was wondering… 🙂 Happy Monday.

I love the fog, day or night.

I do, too, although we don’t get nearly as much here as you do there. To see it in Yosemite was magical.
It’s a beautiful quote and certainly a scene worth pulling over to capture.

Lovely photograph and a magical sight. It looks so serene.
It was truly a magical sight, Lignum. Took us forever to get out of the park as we kept having to pull over so I could take more photos. 🙂

The fog gives it a mystical feeling and the quote is perfect
Thanks a lot, Pauline. Glad you liked them both.

Sorry, I thought you were commenting on my post for today. Yes, that’s where my heart lies and I look forward to being there again this summer.

What a blessing to have this place to run to every summer.
Thankfully I found you and view the images and experiences you share while there.
Always a pleasure to share with a friend, Deborah, and yes, it’s an enormous blessing.
