Somewhere in my childhood, I learned the little rhyme:
We’re all in our places with bright shiny faces.
I had to finagle a bit to get six words for Six-Word Saturday, but the “finally” is heartfelt! I’ve been waiting a long time for the beauties to bloom and then there they were in all their bright, cheerful glory.Β Ahh, the joy of spring!
Beautiful π
Thanks, Su. Hope you’re enjoying your weekend.

Busy day yesterday, but the rain has arrived, so today might be a “good book” day. π
I love days like that. π
Things of beauty π€
They really are and so cheerful.
janet
Gorgeous. They always remind me of happy faces which makes me smile. π
I feel the same, Judy. Happy Saturday.

Nicely done (and beautiful) Janet.
Good morning and thanks, Dan. Hope you enjoy your weekend. I’m off to work soon and work tomorrow, too, so I’ll have to enjoy from indoors.
So cheerful, they make me smile
They made me smile, too, Pauline. See? π

Still no bloomers here, but at least things are greening.
That’s progress, Ron. Blooms will come.
janet
Oh, I love them!! Daffodils will always remind me of my mom!
I’m glad, Aletta.

Spectacular colors on the daffodils. Your 6 words express a great deal.
Lovely, Janet. Have a blessed weekend.
Isadora π
Thanks so much, Izzy. You, too.

I’ve nominated you for the 3 days of Quotes. It’s on my wiring blog. I hope you’ll join in but there’s no obligation to do it.
Happy Blessed Sunday π
Thanks, Issy. I’ll probably do that, but over a span of days. Thanks so much for thinking of me!!
Beautiful Daffies, Janet. I remember that rhyme & cannot pinpoint when, either.

But it’s a good one. π
Beautiful!
Thanks. I’m glad you think so. π

Ah, daffodils – my favourites. π
I love them, too, the harbingers of spring.
janet
Don’t they look happy? π π I was at an arboretum yesterday, with a carpet of daffs and bluebells.
That must have been spectacular, Jo.

lovely daffodils! I always like to see them as they remind me that the short days and cold are over and we move on. And the whole thing of planting bulbs is a ritual every autumn for me as it is my way of saying I will still be alive in the spring to see them bloom!
I love daffodils in particular and spring blubs in general. They seem so bright and cheerful and as you say, a welcome to spring. Have a wonderful weekend.

Wonderful! I love them! I’ve got daffy issues over here, Janet. The ones up by the house bloom early and stay happy for weeks, even through the snow. The ones on the edge of our lawn — only half bloom and late — for the 3rd year! I should mention they’re the same varieties. Three varieties, all in different spots. Just yesterday, the frilled yellow one opened. Most of the early bloomers (of his kind) are gone already. I don’t know what they’re doing, but I’m going to plant more up by the house and surround those others with spring bulbs of a different sort. Isn’t that peculiar? Makes me appreciate yours even more π
Ours are pretty much gone now, too. The rain did them in, I think. But they were quite sturdy and survived the extra weeks of cold, for which I’m very grateful!
janet
They’re so cheerful! Nicely played Janet!
I think daffodils are some of the most cheerful flowers, Deborah, but maybe part of it is just that they come after a season of no flowers at all.
Plus their ruffles. Ruffles are cheerful. π
π
Beautiful! Spring is here!
Yes, it is and I’m loving it!
janet
Sure to brighten any day – it did mine!
Good! π Thanks for dropping by for a smile.
