My friend Isadora at Inside the Mind of Isadora invited me to take part in the 3-day quote challenge.  Thanks very much, Issy!  The “rules” are as follows:

Thank the person you chose you.  (Done.)

Post a quote for three consecutive days.  (Won’t be consecutive.)

Say why you like your quotes.  (This quote rings so true to me and reminds me of the quote (more or less) that you should be careful about asking God to give you patience, as He’ll put you in situations where you have to develop it.  🙂  Trust me, that’s true!)

Invite three blogging friends to join in.  (This is supposed to be fun, so any of you reading this who would enjoy taking part, please feel free to do so.  Quotes are so easy to find with the internet.)

    Food for thought, Janet…
    Thanks

  3. BEAUTIFUL!!! I love both the quote and image.

    • Thanks, Deborah. The butterfly shot was made possible by a butterfly bush right by our large living room window. I always look forward to it blossoming, which doesn’t happen for quite some time yet.

  4. Janet, the quote blends beautifully with the monarch and its struggle to survive.

Your caution reminds me of the quote, “God, give me patience, and I mean NOW!”

    • Yup, that it does. And with patience, you have to be careful when you ask God to help you get some, because He puts you in situations where you can practice…and it can take a lot of practice. Not that I speak from experience or anything! 🙂

    • Oh, duh! I already had that in there. 🙂

It’s a good point you make, Janet. Maya talks a lot of sense. 🙂 🙂

  7. Lovely words from an insightful poetess. I adore Maya Angelou. Her writings and poems are great to read. Thank you for taking part in the challenge, Janet.
