LA is full of interesting doors.  Yes, there really is a door here, right below the obi.

To what shall
I liken the world?
Moonlight, reflected
In dewdrops,
Shaken from a crane’s bill.

Here I played a bit with editing, but the doors were dark and rather gloomy to begin with.  This just gives it a bit of LA noir.

Someone had fun with this door.

For Norm’s Thursday Doors

  1. pommepal says:

What unusual doors you are sharing with us this week and so well teemed up with quotations. That first door is very difficult to see as well

  2. Norm 2.0 says:

Yes that first one takes some serious focus and concentration to find – fun stuff, I love it!

  3. Dan Antion says:

I love The Little Prince – we are not wasting time looking at doors, that’s for sure. Although it took me a while to find door number one, even with your hint.

I have to add, when I saw ‘LA’ and ‘Doors’ in the title, I immediately had ‘LA Woman’ stuck in my head. I’m off to find a copy on YouTube 🙂

    • Doors are so much fun, aren’t they? This is one of the most enjoyable challenges around, although I don’t recall featuring any doors from Naperville at all. Maybe once, but they all seem so much more normal here, often fancy, but normal.

How did your YouTube search go?

  4. I really like the first door. It’s so well blended-in & hidden within the mural.

  5. marianallen says:

LOVE the doors and the quotes, especially the first of each. Fabulous!

  6. The top door is camouflaged so well! The rose is nice, but the guy all puffed up in the reflection distracted me. He seems to be checking you out. Wondering what you’re taking a photo of probably.

    Loved every quote too!

  7. Loved all these doors, Janet. Everywhere I go now because of you I notice the doors more than I ever did before.

  8. dimlamp says:

Quite a find, one has to look closely to see the door.

  9. I really love the rose! =)

The quotes and doors and notes were seamless and deep!
Love the edits w the noir
And the rose one – love the artist’s use of blue

  11. restlessjo says:

Love the first one 🙂 🙂

Interesting choices — they are all worthy of our attention. That black & white, though, I love that mood.
