Normally on Monday I’d be walking with Jo, but with our younger daughter home, we’ll be biking at the Indiana Dunes again today and as I get a post ready on Sunday night, I’ve decided to go with the Lens Artists Challenge of action. Here are two different action shots for your viewing enjoyment.

Land-based action

Flying high
for the Lens Artists Challenge: Action
Great photos for the prompt. The in-flight shot is remarkable.
Thanks, Dan. My iPhone 6s has a “live” feature on the photos, so they’ll actually move as the subject did during the shot. I just realized a few days ago that by going to “edit” you can choose which shot to use (on the squirrel shot, for instance. But the heron photo was with my Nikon.

Wonderful action shots, Janet! That squirrel is priceless!
Thanks, Patti. He was definitely in motion! 🙂
I like them both Janet! Not easy to capture a moving object!
Thanks, Aletta. The blur of the squirrel really gives the feel of movement, but I also love the freedom of the bird in flight. Glad you enjoyed them both. 🙂
It looks like the bird could be the stimulus for the squirrel’s reaction. Thanks for the chuckle today.

I should have put the bird shot on top and it would have looked even more so. 🙂
I like it just the way you placed them. It is an unfolding story.

There’s nothin like a blurry squirrel –really captures their speeds! I hope you’re enjoying your day at the Dunes! 🙂
No Dunes after all. This morning when we were going to leave, it appeared that rain would be the order of the day. So my husband went back to sleep and our daughter and I went for coffee (at two places), walked along Naperville’s Riverwalk, went to Aldi and then to Plato’s Closet. Now we’re at home relaxing before lunch. Shopping is tiring!! 🙂 Still have all afternoon and evening, which will be good.
must chime in – omg – people do not realize how exhausting shopping can be – even if enjoyable and all that – whew –
Even if you find things, which we did.
🙂
Two terrific and complimentary shots Janet. I liked Allan’s interpretation 😊
Thanks, Tina. I didn’t even think about that when I posted them both, but it would work…just more than 1,000 miles apart, which makes their eyesight amazing. 🙂
well how fun as we went from the deck to the air – nice
🙂
I love that 2nd one. So many different ways to capture or portray movement.
I agree about the ways to capture action, Lignum. I was really happy with that second shot, as too many times I’ve gotten the blur of motion rather than a good shot of the bird itself.

Beautiful shots, both, Janet! 🙂 🙂 Hope you had a great weekend together.
Thanks, Jo. We did have a great extended weekend. Now back to real life. 😉
I know! Healthy heart routine check this morning, Aldi, washing and housework. 😦 Grey day! 🙂 🙂 Bright spirits!
Making lemonade out of lemons, IC, Joe. Good for you!
Jo, not Joe. 🤪🤪🤪🤪
🙂 🙂
I love that Blue Heron in flight shot Janet! Well done!
Thanks, Deborah. I thought you might like it. 😁
Stunning!
Thanks, Naomi, and thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful week.
