I was dreaming of France, so I “paged” through my files from Colmar and picked out three doors to share today. It’s been rather colds and icy outside and busy at work, so they were pleasant dreams. I hope they make your day more pleasant as well.
I’ve been rather busy the last two days with work, so my apologies for posts I’ve missed. Pre-Valentine’s Day at a patisserie is rather busy as you can well imagine. I hope you have a wonderful day, whether or not you do anything special. Just remember those you love today and tell them that you do! Any day is just the right time for that.

Ah, lovely images….now you have me nostalgic for Colmar! Well, Alsace….yesterday I was drinking some very nice Alsace Pinot Blanc….
Colmar is beautiful, isn’t it? We visited again last year for the second time.

It certainly is! Great food and wine, too!
Perfect doors for today, and I love the flowers too. 🙂
There were flowers everywhere, Judy, and they were gorgeous. Glad I could share some with you, especially at this flowerless time of year. :-0

These are lovely Janet. Nice to see you still have some gems left in the archive. Hope the Valentines rush is manageable 🙂
Happy images, great to see. You’re right, every day is a good day for this.
I thought we’d agree, Manja. 🙂

These are so beautiful, Janet. I love that last entrance. Nothing special today, but lots of love.
Glad you enjoyed these, Dan. I thought this morning that I should have featured red doors in honor of Valentine’s Day, but who cares? 🙂 It’s a day to cherish loved ones and friends. Thanks for being one of the latter.

Aw, thanks.
Love the elegance of the last 2, nice post.
Thanks. I’m glad you enjoyed the doors. 🙂

I like the Yin-Yang, light-dark composition in your last photo. That’s a heckuva door and your POV and exposure add some ‘volume’ to the photo. I feel like I could walk right into the photo and pass through the door.
Ω
You’re welcome to walk through any time, Allan, and you’d love the city. 🙂

So much old-world charm in that opening photo, Janet. Looks like a very romantic place to spend Valentine’s Day…
It would be, but I’m still here in the Chicago area winter. 🙂 Not that I’m complaining, as my wonderful husband is here, too!
Thank you for sharing these photos, Janet. They did transport me back to wonderful days in France. I hope that your Valentine’s Day was a good one…and not too hectic!
My pleasure to bring you pleasure. I had a relaxing Valentine’s Day, which was much appreciated after some busy days at work. I hope yours was good as well.
Wow. That is SI SI CHARMANT. I love it. Great one for the heart day 🙂
Merci beaucoup, Joey. Hope you had a lovely heart day.

Warm and inviting, Janet. Just what you need when it’s cold outside and you have come home tired. Hope it will be calmer this weekend! (probably not much chance of that, but it’s the thought that counts:))
I have today and tomorrow off, so I’ll get work done as well as relax. Work some on Saturday and then on Sunday, but after that things should settle down to a three day work week, just right for part time. 🙂
Sounds doable:):)
Oh, Janet, what lovely doors! Thank you for the treat!
Thank you for dropping in to enjoy them. 😁. Hope you’re keeping warm.
If it gets too chilly, Charlie builds a fire in the fireplace and the cats and I bask. 🙂
Sounds delightful.
I like your door choices – and the shiny car in the top photo had me curious –
And how fun to dream of France
Just light shining off the top of the car. 🙂
i love the post, and love colmarx
Thanks. I’m so glad you enjoyed it. Colmar is beautiful.

I love the first one especially that upper window! I do love their flower boxes on the windows, and all that stone.
I love flower boxes, too, Deborah, and wish we had some, although this time of year there’d be only snow in them. 🙂
