Thanks very much, Judy. I do enjoy playing with words. Right now I’ve very frustrated as FB has for some reason decided that my blog links and photos “violate their community standards” and they’re blocking me from posting them. Of course there’s not way to actually talk to a person and even though I went through the process of stopping a possible hack, I still can’t post them. SO FRUSTRATING!!!!
A friend had the same thing happen to him. He went round and round with FB finally quit it altogether. Maybe it’s something of tech fight and we’re just cultural damage 🤨
Love your nest pic and story.
That would be interesting if most of us thought FB had standards. I’m guessing it’s like spell check which is helpful 10% of the time and downright annoying 90% of the time.
Ha! Yes, that’s the ironic part: pretty much anything goes there and much of it not so nice. Someone said I might need to start a page rather than use my personal account and I found an article that makes it sound like that might be true. If so, why can’t they just say that, rather than this bogus isolating community standards garbage?
I am with yu about fb. Love this snowy home…no wonder its left until spring. Our magpies has moved. The new neighbours built a playground in the garden, brought two children and a dog – no wonder they gave up. Now moving to another tree close to us!
These tiny nests are hidden during the summer, so I always like spotting them during winter, even without inhabitants. I wonder whether birds reuse nests or use those of other birds. Yes, children and a dog might cause birds to move one At least they’ll be closer to you!
I love coming upon those nests too. The very little ones seem not to be used again next year, but bigger ones might. That is my experience at least. And yes, now the magpies is moving in!
Janet – this made me the smile when I first saw it in the reader and coming back again it still delivers –
Well no mail or anything – but awesome six words for such a fun winter photo
out!
out? Not sure what you mean by that.
Sorry, just meant the owner is now ‘out!’ And onto new horizons)
Ahhh! 🙂
I always admire your photos, but I truly do enjoy your way with words. Love this. 🙂

Thanks, Carol. I wouldn’t mind dropping FB if it weren’t for keeping touch with friends. We’ll see what happens.

I know there are friends that FB is our lifeline. My daughter quite while she’s finishing her Masters but actual friends keep here updated.
Good-luck.
It’s a really easy way to chat in real time with my s-i-l in France!
Gotta love it. I chat with folks in Brazil on WhatsApp
