Last October while on a wedding planning trip with my older daughter and her husband-to-be, our younger daughter and visited Viñas de Garza winery in Ensenada, Baja California. It reminded me more than a little of the wine-growing areas in Provence.
The flowers were lovely and the entrance inviting, although this wasn’t the entrance to the patio for the wine tasting.
It was a lovely spot to sit and taste a variety of wines which were quite nice, even though not to the level of those of Provence.
There were lovely views to accompany the wines.
And a stove in case the day was chilly. It wasn’t that day.
See what I mean about Provence?
We spent a lovely day, finishing with a marvelous dinner at a highly-rated restaurant nearby. But before we leave, take time for one more view. Cheers!
for Jo’s Monday Walk
i’ve never been to either, but this looks like a lovely place to enjoy a glass of wine
It certainly was in the weather was perfect.
This is such a beautiful area, Janet. The photos are stunning and are making me want spring to hurry up and get here. You were extra careful in your signature placement. I always try to find those.
It is a beautiful area, Dan. I just got back from a walk in the park and while there was frost on the ground this morning, there are a few bits of greenery poking up from under the dead leaves and the red-winged blackbirds are back. Spring’s coming!
Glad you enjoying hunting for my copyright signature. I enjoy trying to put it somewhere inconspicuous, but where it would be hard to delete
It’s my favorite video game 😏
That looks so beautiful Janet!
It was and quite relaxing. 🙂
Looks very relaxing, Janet, though not for the driver, I suppose. I expect you took a bottle or two home. 🙂 🙂 Thanks a lot for sharing!
Our daughter and future son-in-law hired a driver and car so that we didn’t have to worry about finding the place or driving, as we also went for dinner after the tasting, but at a different location. She spoke NO English, which made it an adventure, but it all went well. We did not get any wine, although it was good. It was a very relaxing day.
Now that’s thoughtful! 🙂 🙂 Have a great week, Janet!
You as well, Jo.
Lovely memories Janet. Wishing you a great week ahead.
And to you as well, Su.
It does look lovely!
It was. 😉
Beautiful!
Thanks. It was. 😊

[…] Monday walk…Vinas De Garza […]
Did someone say Provence. Sounds and looks delightful, Janet.
It was and really did remind me of Provence. The wines weren’t nearly as good, though. 🙂
Shame about that, Janet.
They were enjoyable, though, just not stellar. We had no complaints.
Of course.
My husband loves studying wine and drinking it too 🙂 so we’ve spent time in many vineyards. Have been to both Provence and California as well as several other beautiful spots for learning more about how grapes become wine. usually he sits inside listening to all of the details while I happily spend my time outside photographing the beautiful grounds and vines. Your photos are lovely – a great way to spend the day!
I like to find out about the wines, try them, and take photos. 😉. I’m happy you enjoyed this lovely place. It was definitely an enjoyable day.
