for One Word Sunday

  1. Sue says:

Takes me back to Rachel Carson’s Silent Spring……

  2. de Wets Wild says:

“Long lasting, all over” is right… Such a sad find in a natural area.

    • There’s too much trash everywhere, but I especially dislike it in the natural areas. Kids go in and drink, leaving bottles, paper bags, and other trash. Trash blows in as well. It’s probably about time for another foray with gloves and trash bag. I’m trying to at least keep what I can clean.

  3. Leya says:

Always so sad. Yesterday we had a Clean our Beaches day, when people gather to make the shores become shores – truly.

  4. Dan Antion says:

    So sad to see 😦

  5. Debbie Smyth says:

oh dear – it is easy to despair when we see thing like this. No care, no knowledge, no responsibility? – any or all of those in too many people 😦

  6. Su Leslie says:

Yuk. This photo says so much Janet. 😦

  7. pattimoed says:

Interesting how this single image of one can is so very powerful. Well done!

  8. Very sad… but a great picture.

  9. I couldn’t hit ‘like’ because I think this is a huge issues both in the water and on the land. I never understand why people just don’t carry in and carry out, but…

    • “Like” would be for the post, but I understand. Littering is one of the things that really makes me angry. I understand why underage kids don’t want to take out what they illegally took in, but still! And people who just drop things are so irritating. When I see someone drop something out of a car, I so wish I could pick up what they dropped, and shove it back in their window. 🙂

  10. What caliber of person does this sort of thing? 😡
