I always wonder how people can lose them in the street or just in general. It obviously can’t have just fallen off their foot, but were they just carrying an extra pair of shoes, did they have their foot stuck out the window and the shoe fell off and they didn’t go back for it? Weird.
It’s just one of those unusual sights that makes me want to take a photo of it. There’s a story somewhere there. Besides all my nature shots, I take lots of oddball shots. 😉
It certainly could be seen that way. On the other hand, I always see one missing shoe, or flip-flop in this case, as something that has me wondering how on earth ever got lost in the first place!

Nice!! I. Gave up on the challenge, but you’ve nailed it.
Thanks, Su. I always try to find a photo that will speak for itself with only the one word. This week was a bit more of a challenge then usual. 😉
🙂
I see so many lost single shoes lately that I’m considering starting a blog feature of fictional stories to go with the images. 🙈

Oh that is absolutely perfect for the challenge Janet! The question is, what made you shoot it in the first place? Very clever!!

Lovely take on the them. Is the other flip fop missing or visa versa? 😜
Or is the person who was wearing them the one that’s missing? 😉
That too! 😂
That’s very poignant.

Great photo (and perfect for the prompt)
Thanks, Dan. I have other lone shoe photos. There’s just something intriguing about a lone shoe and so much about which I can wonder. 🙂
I saw a flattened black high top running shoe on the road today. You go just have to wonder.
And I do, every time. 🙂
Love the colors in that flip flop.
Looks like someone is waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Oh, very good one, Allan! That would have been a good title, too, but one word too long. 🙂
Hmmm, that would have been for Six Word Saturday. Whoops! 😉
Oh dear!
🙂
Hahah – I love your find here…
Thanks, Yvette. 😉
⛱
Someone might be rather sad when they realise they were limping for a reason!!
🙂 It’s just so odd to find a lone shoe because wouldn’t you miss it?
I love these mysteries. Great idea for the challenge.
Happy Saturday, Patti. I’m glad you liked my response. Getting everything into six words isn’t always easy, that’s for sure!
