It’s spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you’ve got it, you want—oh, you don’t quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!
― Mark Twain
It was such a spring day as breathes into a man an ineffable yearning, a painful sweetness, a longing that makes him stand motionless, looking at the leaves or grass, and fling out his arms to embrace he knows not what.
― The Forsyte Saga
So delicate. Wishing you a great weekend Janet.
Thanks and you, too.
I’m loving all the signs of spring. Thanks for sharing this one, Janet.
Always happy to share signs of spring, Dan. 🙂 Now if the rain would just stop for a bit, we might be able to get out and enjoy them more. 🙂
Lovely little blossom and great Spring Quotes.
Merci beaucoup, Deborah. How’s everything in the new house and location?

De rien! Going well, thank you! I hope you have a lovely week-end!
Glad to hear it. You have a wonderful weekend as well. I unfortunately have to unexpectedly work tonight and Sunday night (and I don’t like nights because I still wake up early the next day), but it won’t be long until I’m headed for several weeks in Wyoming, so I’ll put up with it. 🙂
I loved the Forsyte Saga, part of which actually won the Nobel prize for literature in 1918, I believe it was. They actually printed an obituary for Soames Forsyte in the London Times when his character died–and lovely photo. Thank you.
My pleasure. Thanks for the comment. 🙂

Beautiful, Janet – and I loved The Forsyte Saga. I think the entire population of Sweden did.
Thanks, A-C. I must confess I have never seen it. But with two glowing recommendations like this, I’ll have to catch up on it.
Well…that was many years ago, I cannot swear I would love it today, but I think I would.
Lovely – thanks for sharing! Happy Spring to you!
Thanks and the same to you. Have a wonderful weekend.
Beauty like this makes spring worth waiting for!
I so agree. 😉
Stunning flower and photograph. Your skills are definitely showing in this one. 🙂
Many thanks, Judy. I always hope I can show the beauty of what I’m seeing.
What a beautiful flower and the Galsworthy quote ended the post perfect – you opened with the Twain – had your gorgeous photo with bloom to the right – and then the pockmark
Ending – giving us also the reminder to celebrate the spring delight – even though here in Virginia we have way late spring and it feels almost a bit like summer with some hot days this week – but much to soak up
Good morning, Yvette. (It’s still morning here, although a bit into afternoon for you.) Spring is bouncing all over the place here, chilly one day, hot the next, rainy most of them. I think we’re moving more into summer temperatures but of course it’s quite humid. I didn’t realize you lived in Virginia. Haven’t really spent much time there, but I understand it’s beautiful and naturally there’s lot of history there.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Hi – and hope your day is going well.
And the weather has been all over the place here too – but the hot days have arrived (went indoors to cool off twice this week – so that says a lot).
and yes – a lot of history here – there is a joke that in Virginia you can see something from “1865” every single day.
It is green and lush in Virginia (Zone 7) but also a lot of mold spores (heard a stranger talking to someone in a store and she said she was moving out of VA because her allergies cannot take it) – we also have lots of spiders (we are the spider state) and then lots of tics (and recently your nice reminders to be mindful of tics have been important – I think people – including myself – have minimized their danger – but now I get it – and one huge thing we do is shower real quick after being outdoors for any length of time – )
Exquisite little bloom and extraordinary Spring Quotes.Stunning blossom and photo. Your aptitudes are certainly appearing in this one.
Thanks very much. 🙂

Screams Spring … sweet
That’s a scream I love to hear. 🙂 We’ve been deluged with rain, so spring’s been very interesting.
Send some of your rain our way. It’s been brutally hot with no rain for weeks. Everything is so dry. This is unusual for May. I think August has pushed May aside. LOL
I would love to send you some! Our yard is even squishy because it’s been so wet.
YIKES … that’s a lot of rain.
We actually had rain all night last night. You must have sent it with your vibes. : )
I don’t know why but going out this morning it seemed like everything was very green. Wishful thinking, I’m sure. : )
Glad I could send some rain, event though I didn’t know I did. 😉
LOL
