Philadelphia is home to so many doors worthy of Thursday Doors that it can be difficult to walk without constantly stopping for “just one more” shot. Sometimes you get more for your money, though, as in these two-fer doors, unlike the ordinary single doors I imagine most of us have fronting our homes. So sit back and enjoy twice as much for your time! What catches your eye today?
Beautiful collection. Thanks for sharing.
Regards, Teresa
Thanks for visiting, Teresa. Philly has so many beautiful doors so although visiting our daughter is the main reason I go, the doors (and other attractions) are an enormous bonus. 🙂

Really like the faded green door.
I do, too. 🙂

Nice, and I’m not sure I’ve seen doors with glass from top to bottom.
We have lots of doors with glass like that around here, but they’re single doors. While glass is nice and lets in lots of light, I don’t feel they’re nearly as safe and then for privacy you need curtains… 🙂 But they do look lovely.

Love two-fers and what a great name!
Thanks, Sheree. I always like to try for a good title for my posts whenever possible, so I’m happy you enjoyed it.

Whenever you get a city with an old history, there is bound to be some interesting architecture and doors to go with it 🙂
So very true, Joanne, and Philly is full of history and old, often beautiful, buildings. Thanks for stopping by.

Old wood character
I do like wood, old or new.

These are great, Janet. I love the arched ones!
🙂 I do know you love arches, Dan. I do, too.
Great red door and that reflection in the bottom door is really nice.
It’s a good thing it was a nice reflection in the last door because it would have been impossible to not get one. 🙂
Great post, Janet! Have to admit that often the doors with reflections are my favorite residential doors.
Hope I didn’t thoroughly confuse you last week with how I do my posts – I do one for the next 7 days – beginning on Wed. – with all my challenges I contribute to, and another post on Sunday for my own All Seasons challenge which runs for 5 days.
You only confuse me for a moment. LOL.
Love that second one!
Thanks, Sue. That’s a good one.
That gentle green!
Double doors always look so grand. That first red one is my favourite.
They do look grand but there aren’t many here. Probably mostly in older cities, I think.
Though it needs a good scraping, sanding and a fresh paint job I’m gonna give my vote to the teal/green one as well. But they’re all very nice and yes, curtains or frosted glass is the only way to go with these ones 🙂
I always wonder about bathroom windows that are large and made of plain glass. Even if I lived in the middle of nowhere, I wouldn’t feel comfortable walking in front of these before or right after taking a shower, etc. 🙂 I know these aren’t bathroom doors, but they made me think of those.

Beautiful set of door photos, Janet. I love the second one especially.
I think the second one is a favorite. 🙂
I especially love the lace curtains used in two sets you have here!
They look lovely and would be essential for any sort of privacy! 🙂 Win-win.
It is really fun to walk along those old slate and cobblestone Philadelphia sidewalks, to see the grace and beauty of former centuries still lively here today. Enjoyed this walk with you, Janet, and a look at the stately doors and the old brick, too.
Glad you could come along. It’s always more fun with friends.
Lovely door pictures. I loved the colors and the style of the doors.
Thanks, I’m glad you like them.

Oh, those arches! Those colors! Thanks for the double-dip treats. 🙂
Double-dipped but no chocolate on top. 🙂 Happy Saturday, Marian!

My favorite doors are ones with arches. Great find!
Arches do enhance the look of a door, that’s for sure. Thanks, Brenda.
