Sometimes you don’t need a special color to make a door attractive. “Plain” wood can be as beautiful as anything as these Philadelphia doors aptly demonstrate. Of course, details matter, both on and around the doors, but these have that covered as well.

  2. I like the wooden look too!

  3. There’s just something about doors & garden gates! A Sunday Supplement magazine published here used to feature a variety of door images on the last page. I loved it!

You had me at “wooden” – I love wooden doors, and these are sweet, Janet. Especially the arched one at the bottom.

  6. Lovely old wood. Philadelphia has some fabulous historical buildings and doors, from what I can see, Janet.

That’s all you need, really. Classic wooden doors will never go out of style.

Beautiful doors! Wood is so versatile! No wonder hubs is addicted to it:)
Had to laugh about your post underneath. When I hang around other “old” people makes me confused, because I have nothing in common with them, but then I think, “but I am as old or older than they are!” The end of this that again I re-commit never to become “old” – haha:)

All lovely Janet. When I look at that warm wood, I just think “welcome.”

I believe the best wooden doors are the ones that aren’t painted. I mean the actual color of the wood can make any property look so good and rustic. Good door pictures you have here.

  13. I love the color of the doors and the arches. Nice doors!

Oh, those are beauties! I love all the detail on and around the doors. It’s like an intricate setting that complements a jewel. Philadelphia goes on the bucket list!
