Sometimes you don’t need a special color to make a door attractive. “Plain” wood can be as beautiful as anything as these Philadelphia doors aptly demonstrate. Of course, details matter, both on and around the doors, but these have that covered as well.

Looks like sturdy wooden doors!
And with beauty as well. Good combination.

I like the wooden look too!
Thanks, Aletta.
There’s just something about doors & garden gates! A Sunday Supplement magazine published here used to feature a variety of door images on the last page. I loved it!
I agree. Windows can also be lots of fun. Glad you enjoyed these and thanks for the comment.

These are utterly gorgeous! I love wood and glass together! Cher xo
Thanks, Cher, so do I.

😊
You had me at “wooden” – I love wooden doors, and these are sweet, Janet. Especially the arched one at the bottom.
Pressing all your door buttons today, Dan. 😉
Yes!
Lovely old wood. Philadelphia has some fabulous historical buildings and doors, from what I can see, Janet.
They certainly do, Jean. There’s nothing as old as parts of Europe, but there’s some lovely and old, for us, stuff. 😊
🙂
What beautiful wood on these doors.
Thanks, Cheryl.

That’s all you need, really. Classic wooden doors will never go out of style.
Nice finds Janet 🙂
I love the slightly scruffy look of the first one
Beautiful doors! Wood is so versatile! No wonder hubs is addicted to it:)
Had to laugh about your post underneath. When I hang around other “old” people makes me confused, because I have nothing in common with them, but then I think, “but I am as old or older than they are!” The end of this that again I re-commit never to become “old” – haha:)
All lovely Janet. When I look at that warm wood, I just think “welcome.”
I feel the same way, Su. Thanks as always for stopping in and commenting as well.
I believe the best wooden doors are the ones that aren’t painted. I mean the actual color of the wood can make any property look so good and rustic. Good door pictures you have here.
I know what you mean. Glad you enjoyed them.

I love the color of the doors and the arches. Nice doors!
I’m happy you enjoyed them, Brenda.
Oh, those are beauties! I love all the detail on and around the doors. It’s like an intricate setting that complements a jewel. Philadelphia goes on the bucket list!
Besides door, it’s also full of history, a great combination. Good food, too. 🙂

That first one is especially fantastic! That arched window, oof!
Better than the Golden Arches. 😉😁
