Tomorrow I’m taking flight to France, although by plane, not by my own wings. God willing, I’ll be back in October with lots of photos and stories to share. BTW, we celebrated our 35th anniversary yesterday. Bless my husband for not minding that I’ll be vacationing when he can’t go! He’s a keeper (obviously). 🙂
I was finally able to get all my photos off my phone so I’d be ready for all the vacation shots, but it took hours and hours. I’d try one thing and it would work, but the next time it wouldn’t (or I’d forgotten how I’d done it.) Or I’d find empty files while my phone was filled with photos. Ah, for the days when I’d plug my phone into my laptop, the photos would show up, I’d copy, then delete. Sigh. Such is life in the virtual world.

It’s actually doing very well, particularly among American ladies, especially those who love to read fiction (particularly with a touch of romance) set in Italy – and Venice in particular. I’m trying to get more people to put up reviews on Amazon etc. But, thanks Janet, it’s been a very satisfying experience. Now on to the next one, set in Puglia. All my neighbours are a bit worried I’ll mention them!!

The first person I talked to at Apple had never heard of this problem. The second suggested I go to Settings, Photos, then take off Optimize iPhone Storage and use Download and Keep Originals instead. That did help them at least show up when I plugged my phone into my laptop. Try that for now and let me know if it works. Do you know how to do it after that? If not, I can tell you that as well.

I’d like to know how you got ALL your photos off your phone! Mine never takes them all off and doesn’t see them all when I’m uploading.

I probably would’ve saved some to view and then delete on the long plane flight, though, just ‘cuz of lack of time to take care of it any other way. Anyhoo – enjoy your trip!!!
Thanks, Shelley. I won’t be taking my laptop, just my phone and my iPad. On the plane, I read or maybe watch a movie if there’s one I really want to see. Usually just read and try to rest on the way to Europe and read, maybe write, on the way home.
