for Six Word Saturday
LOL! He/she looks determined enough to catch up and win!
He was in the completely bare backyard of one of the homes I looked at while in Arizona. Must be the family pet. He was quite an unexpected find!
Which way indeed!
๐
I have got tortoises in my garden
This one was enormous and in the backyard of a rental house that I saw. Quite the surprise!
It looks quite big!
What a cutie!
A big cutie! ๐คญ๐ฅฐ. He was moving quite well, too.

So funny- I’ve just come from Aletta’s 3 tortoises ๐ ๐ Great minds?
Must be. I havenโt seen them yet and have had this post scheduled for several days. ๐
Is that one leg kinda up and waving? Hello, friendly tortoise!
No, he was just in motion (or she, who knows?). But you can say hello anyway. ๐

Tortoises live a long time, hares rush about and have relatively short lifespans.. maybe we can learn something from the tortoise…
๐ And we should have a hard shell, especially these days!
I’d like some turtle soup, and make it snappy !!!
๐
I think he’ll win the race! ๐
Oh my – ARIZONA?!?! I’d have thought Galapagos or some other exotic place! Nicely captured, loved the caption
In a backyard. We all had to take photos. Itโs all about the six words on Saturday, but of course six on a photo. ๐. Itโs always fun trying to get both a good photo and good words to go with it.
He’s still sleeping somewhere behind you! Run, Forest, run!
๐ฅฐ.
Sad to think it is a pet. Lonesome George would have liked a friend
It wasnโt what I expected to find as a pet, thatโs for sure!
Hahahaha! One thing for sure is that there is no hair on the tortoise!
That’s very true! He’s quite handsome, though, or perhaps it’s a she. How can you tell?
He …. she…. whatever, it’s a gorgeous creature! ๐
Awww! So cute! ๐
And quite unexpected. Not the sort of pet you expect to see in someone’s backyard! ๐
My mother gets them in Florida. They just wander through. I always enjoy them ๐
This one was an actual pet, as the backyard was enclosed. (Unless it could pole vault, but I have my doubts about that.)
