Beautiful red berries. No tinsel or glitter here. Simply nature in all its unadorned beauty. I’m off to the back fields to see what I can find. Unfortunately our holly tree is no more but there should be fragrant cedar boughs to make a wreath. Cheers Virginia
That sounds so good, Virginia. These would look lovely with some snow on them, too. 🙂 When I was in France, there was so much holly, although not with ripe berries yet. Some of the holly were like trees!
We had a holly tree and the poor dear acquired some kind of blight so that was that for our on the farm holly gathering. Cheers Virginia
😦 Back when I was doing personal training, one couple always gave me some holly with berries at Christmas. It looked lovely on the mantle.

In some ways, they’re more beautiful on a cloudy, grey day because there’s so little color anywhere else.
