Thursday doors…un mélange

Today’s doors are un mélange, a mixture of Luxeuil doors. You’ll be happy to know that these are just a few steps away from the bakery and coffee shop, too. These are my entries for what I’d like to call Thursdoors, photos of doors from around the world shared on Norm’s Montreal site which, because of the amazing nature of the internet, can be seen on your device (almost) any Thursday of the year. Drop by and knock. One knock opens many doors.

Oh, that first one is magnificent! Thanks for sharing. Now what’s for tea?

    • You have a choice of macarons or any of the marvelous pastries (or even chocolate). Then the coffee shop offers lots of choices, but no froufrou frappuccinos or the like. 🙂 Lots of tea choices as well, so let’s go!

These are wonderful doors, Janet. I love that first one. You say these are close to a bakery? Makes for some fine door hunting when they are in a good place. I didn’t realize at first that the metal work in the bottom photo is a balcony railing for another set of doors. Good job!

Why am I not surprised you would be located near a coffee/tea emporium? 🙂 I really like your first door!!

    • 🙂 Glad you enjoyed the door/s. I was very happy to discover this coffee/tea shop while visiting. We saw it last year, but it never seemed to be open when we were there. Now my s-i-l and b-i-l go there, too, especially after the market on Saturday morning.

  4. Spot the doors, choose one, then peek behind. Adventures, stories, and history waits
Rewards for the observant and the brave.
    (location does sound win-win-win!)

  5. The first one is wonderful!

  6. I always love seeing your door collections 🙂

Clearly I need to get around more because I never see doors like these. Thanks for sharing!

    • You’re unlikely to see them in the US, Janet. Most of my door shots tend to come from France or from visits to Philadelphia or my rare visits to other large cities. I’m happy to share, though, so I’m glad you enjoy them.

If I were a short story writer, I could imagine all of these doors inspiring me. And of course I’d have to do my writing in the bakery … suitably fortified with coffee and pastries.

A series of beautiful doors, Janet! Wonder if with the first door, there was an extention on the front pillars of the stairs…?

That first one is interesting, missing something. Nice shot.

My attention has wandered to the bakery… 🙂 🙂

Beautiful finds Janet. I’m in love with that first one, and the way the steps seem to spill out in front of it.

  13. Lovely door collection. I, too, like the first one the best! =)

That first set — so charming, so. Great share 🙂
