Today’s doors are un mélange, a mixture of Luxeuil doors. You’ll be happy to know that these are just a few steps away from the bakery and coffee shop, too. You have a choice of macarons or any of the marvelous pastries (or even chocolate). Then the coffee shop offers lots of choices, but no froufrou frappuccinos or the like. 🙂 Lots of tea choices as well, so let’s go!
These are wonderful doors, Janet. I love that first one. You say these are close to a bakery? Makes for some fine door hunting when they are in a good place. I didn’t realize at first that the metal work in the bottom photo is a balcony railing for another set of doors. Good job!
Actually close to two very good bakeries and the coffee/tea shop as well. Win-win-win!

🙂 Glad you enjoyed the door/s. I was very happy to discover this coffee/tea shop while visiting. We saw it last year, but it never seemed to be open when we were there. Now my s-i-l and b-i-l go there, too, especially after the market on Saturday morning.

You’re unlikely to see them in the US, Janet. Most of my door shots tend to come from France or from visits to Philadelphia or my rare visits to other large cities. I’m happy to share, though, so I’m glad you enjoy them.
If I were a short story writer, I could imagine all of these doors inspiring me. And of course I’d have to do my writing in the bakery … suitably fortified with coffee and pastries.
But of course. To do otherwise would be very un-writerly! 🙂

Oh yes, I prefer stone and brick walls above stucco, which I see so much around here. The only advantage is that it can be painted more easily in the color one wants:)
